Wednesday at Fryeburg
« on: October 04, 2023, 08:04:45 PM »
Was a pretty nice day at Fryeburg with only 2 "odds on" favorites getting into the winner's circle. I hit the $1 tri thanks to a good wire to wire drive by Ron Cushing in the 3rd. Paid $47.90 for a buck. I hit Cushing again in the 9th as he sat "pocket rocket" at 9/2. I had 5WP and the $1 Ex. for $19.00. And in the 10th, i hit the 2-1 Exacta for a buck. Paid $58.50. Wound up being a good day as my $200 bankroll balloned to $318.80! A nice day!

At Freiburg what constitutes “odds on”? Does a $100 bet blow up the pool?

Someone has been making huge show bets on the ivan davies 3 year old trotters in the state bred races. I see that today both races were non betting. Last week at cumberland there was 10k in the show pool in both races. At farmington they were barred from the wagering. The show bettor struck a couple of times before that. Where is the money coming from?

i will say i had a good day yesterday but for the burg i thought the card ans short fields really sucked. low quality racing for fryeburg. was fun watching drew look lost. he got suckered into moving first up for no reason just about every drive he had. today another weak card. looks like a lot of chalk today. still waiting for tomorrows program to appear on trackmaster. all the fairs would benifit if the program info was available on trackmaster. signal this year pretty good.
