I meant Mike C was right about Glowing Report.  I know the name Misty Raquel, but I don't much details about her. I was in Illinois 81/82  bout a year in total.

Do you recall a horse of theirs from over 40 years ago, Evenings Choice?

That was Spyder Willis horse. I know they’re related so Jerry might have had a piece of him. Stan Banks had the other top 3 yo that year. Dream of Victory. They took turns beating each other in 1979. Busse had a 3 yo that year to Prarie Walnut

Great info. TY I was 18 and barely knew what was going on in those days, on a farm where Graham and Willis were together. My connection was an owner of theirs who also had horses with Lew Williams and Carmine A. when evenings Choice came East and went to Carmine and Robbie S. the owner allowed me to by 205 of the horse but only charged me what 10% would cost. He was a solid mid to upper claimer as a 5 /6 yr old. We also had another one named Columbia Lee. My guy had a partner who was a bagman for Carmine and he had no issue with the deal. Somehow these guys had a direct line into Joe marsh also and one night in 1982 Marsh told them he was gonna win the Open Pace and Open trot on the same night. Usually the trot was Fri and the pace on Sat at RR but for some reason they were on the same night this week.

Marsh was driving Tiger Almahurst for Bobby Hiel and Wonder Child for Hugh Parshall. Sure enough he won with both of them. One paid $17 and the other $19. They ( and me ) made more money that night than I had ever seen in my life.

Jerry Graham belonged in jail for life after what he did to all those horses.

I can not argue with you there Mike. I know things about the "disposition" of some of their horses which I will never reveal on here. Let's just say Petrelli would have a field day.

He is actually lucky he wasn't murdered. He showed up at M1 in the early 80's with a bunch of horses to sell. Within a week, he sold all of them and headed back to Illinois. Well, eventually it was discovered that all these horses were high nerved and eventually most had to be put down, as they became crippled. Two of the horses were purchased by captains from the Gambino family. I heard later that Graham gave them their money back.

tmbz1 tmbz1  Not to mention horses "turned out" in the Illinois winter. Not for the afternoon, but for the whole winter. of course they brought them back in, in the Spring. One way or another.

Illinois finally got him and eventually Brian Pelling for sublimaze. Suspended both for "the duration of your natural life"

Jerry a very nice guy, suit and tie with Romeo, class act. Baby a good kid, drove some for me always did a good job. Peter an amazing bullshit artist, glad his dad had money to get the car out of hock. Always a deal on the line. Sold some horses for me, A royal pain in the ass but ya can't get mad at him, likeable scoundrel.
