Mohawk 35K Carryover Early P5
« on: October 02, 2023, 12:30:37 PM »
Odd to see a p5 carryover at mohawk. Im guessing by amount of 35 k (very s mall by mohawk norms) that it occurred not only because of a few bombs hitting sat night but also because the p5 was an extra added to the 9th race sat. Mohawk normally has 2 p5s (1st and 6th races start) and the card added a third sat beginning in 9th. They often do this on big night cards with extra races. I play mohawk regularly and didnt even realize there was a third that night.

Regardless, with carryover pool will be huge. I would expect maybe 200 k. Pools there typically 100 k plus. Ill take a shot:

2469/256/169/358/167 @ $60 cost.  A few non fave options to look at and consider foe inclusion:

1st 2 mercutcio - major owners. 1st start this yr off 3 qualifiers. Raced decent in 9 starts last yr. Gets fillion. 10-1 ml. Also 10-1 is 6 for bigsexyCA. Third start for ca barn. Headed to top Iast out for Roy when broke. CA increases class slightly. On front barn can be dangerous.

5th 7 rivers. Moved to dr moore barn from callahan barn in states a few starts ago. So current connections sharp. Moore sticks with his son driving (i would prefer fillion who seems to be go to driver for the dr). 1st start good with nice kicker. Broke last start. Added hobbled 5 back in august.

If i was inclined to single a horse it would be either 1 in 3rd or 3 in 4th.

Gl if playing.

Very nice wire calls by Chad Rozema there in 6th and 8th. I can usually call the winner watching but i would have backed off calling those two before the photo. Tough and accurate the 2 calls by CR.

Talk about a letdown.
P5 paid $93 for a $! bet.

True. With scratch i ended up investing @ $40 and got back @ $20. I suppose i could structure my p5s to limit prospects of four chalks cashing but for $. 20 im a little lazy. I just hope for at least one $30 horse in mix.

These carryovers including super high five do seem to be chalky when they occur.

Gold finals weekend after the coming wkd. Those race Friday and Saturday. I like gold nights for betting.
