why box an exacta ?
way i look at it you for sure just wagered a loser [unless a dead heat].
myself have never box'd an exacta. i believe in my wager to run one two
yes it has cost me, but i cant get it out of mt mind one wager put in for sure is a loser

a trifecta i get it,, but knot an exacta

we all have our different styles and thats cool. if ya box em,, good luck. may the horse be with you

yep. we all have different styles but i never wanted to wager a for sure loser, i could always do that on my own

Boxing exacta is almost never good strategy. It can be ok if you toss the chalk entirely.

Betting to place is 99.99% of the time a horrendous decision. Brutally awful.

Boxes are how you hit huge.  I boxed 4 horses in a tri at Churchill Downs a few years ago.  Threw a 20-1 in there in case he hit the board.  Ended up winning with the betting fav out...paid almost $4k.  Biggest ticket I ever cashed.  Never would have put him on top...but the box paid off big.

An equally weight box (without presses) is illogical. That would mean that you have an equal opinion on every horse you used in the box. 99% of the time the horses you use in the box will have different odds. You would be infinitely better off in the long run if you removed the shorter priced horses out of your box and left the longer priced horses and doubled the base bet of the box. You cant be afraid of not cashing the ticket.
Hopefully I am not going way over your head. This is basic wagering theory.
