It was a good race to watch, lots of 3 yo trotting action.

So 85 yo Jean has the 9 hole (3-1) with Chapel, makes the gate pretty well.  Leaves, gets parked and takes the lead in 27 4/5.

The 7 (6-1) who left sitting 2nd retakes.

The 1 (1-1) comes first over and before the 3/4 breaks.

Jean's 9 retakes on the 7. 

Fights off the 4 (5-1), with just one light tap to win by 1 1/2 lengths in 156 3/5.

His colors, white pants, white helmet, blue top with a giant orange "D"...very athletic, threw legs outside of bike and took wc pic, threw legs back in - and drove off into the sunset a confident winner!

These stories, especially competitive sports are so inspirational, George Foreman knocking out Michael Moorer in a heavyweight title fight at almost 46, this gent here at 85, holy shit. 

Whatever happens when we get older...we know now that almost anything seemingly impossible then might be entirely possible!

Don't mean to correct you but Covert Action was a pacer driven by Ray Schnittker. He won the Levy Final, now called the Borgata Series in 1991 with a purse of $200,000.

Sounds vaguely familiar, but I remember Covert Action trotted too and with open company...might have to drag Schnittker in here to end the dispute

6 day war started with the Remmens. Late in his 3 year old year they sent him to Walter Paisley to race in the winter in Chicago. Walter was one of the first to tow on gate behind truck.He was getting beat in the stretch most of the time. Jonny Z noticed he could trot like crazy behind gate and Walter switched him over the sold to Ray

JP Dubois is a great horseman but is also not afraid to use a needle. Hence why he went back home from Canada 15 years ago. Hired Joe Anderson to manage his farm in KY for a few years after the rented it out till now
