Not to change the subject back to the original discussion, while you all beat each other to death with insults, Trump’s approval ratings are so low, he has resorted to posting his ratings from The Apprentice from 20 years ago.
Believe it or not, we each posted a polite response here without antagonizing each other. Will this continue?
I agree Dingus. His approval ratings are in the toilet. Americans talk social issues. And the war. But in the end, like President Calvin Coolidge stated in 1924....."he will run on the pocketbook issues". Same will happen in 2020. People will vote their pocketbooks. If gas is $2.50 a gallon, the GOP will do fine. If it's $3.50 a gallon, the Dems will do fine. What Americans pay at the grocery store is the main driver of how they will vote. So as always, time will tell the story.
From what many people have said [leading economists], even if the 'war' ends, there will not be an immediate reduction in gas prices and other important economic issues. The lowest price in recent memory was 2.67/gallon right after Trump was elected! Gas did get down to 2.00/gallon during COVID because demand was way down.
I agree. But the GOP could get lucky if those prices lower significantly a couple of months before the mid-terms. It's all speculation at this point. Because we are more than 6 months out before the vote. A lot can happen.
