What you say makes a lot of sense. I'm not sure if lawmakers don't already know the bad aspects of harness racing. Whether they care or not is another question. From what I read here from people "more in the know" than I am, the corruption may be to imbedded. It would be great to "start clean" again with one national governing body.
This game can never be clean,  Just look at the people running the game it IS COLONEL KLINK and seargeant SCHULTZ who see nothing if the racing world was to read this forum they would be saying this GAGOOTS IS brilliant and we need him in management,     The one thing that really makes no sense is the groups playing harness racing and making money by seeing money bet and getting overlays,  100 races run every night and 95 small prices and every winner an underlay with horses dropping huge in odds and every tri and super coming back short, i have sat in close to 50 meeting with racing officials over the years and never felt like i was around any person who understood racing from a stand point of the gambler,   i remember 30 years ago going to a downtown OTB betting place and 40 programs were delivered and one person bought all 40 and this happened day after day and one day i was talking to a guy from management and brought this up and he told me that the fans at that otb were very angry and i said to him if you really understood the industry this could not happen and he was insulted and he said what could i do and it was 100 percent that if someone was buying 40 programs that he was running a bookmaking operation every night with better perks than the race track was giving and his answer was maybe ill look into that and guess what happened a few days later,  They raided the place and i did not realize that i started something i had no interest in starting and did not feel good about it but i just found it so shocking that no person at WEG had a clue

The only answer to get things going is a local group of horsemen refusing to fill the box. There might be short term pain but unless someone leads from within the ranks, this game is about two years from being over. Just look at Ongait and Preferred, hundreds and hundreds of horses being sold for next to nothing. Major breeders gone and the ones that are left are reducing their numbers and concentrating only on the upper market. Betting will continue to plummet, just look at Mohawk and the 1/5 shots winning four times a night. That is just unheard of to the seasoned gamblers. Fuck DeVita, fuck Taylor and all the other cheats--game needs them gone

Who' is we?

Did you notify the commission the one at the compost pile the trainer put a bullet in its head then buried it in the pile? All on video that SCM posted awhile back?
That’s a pretty big statement! If you had half a brain, you wouldn’t listen to that bullshit artist narcissist that looks for attention. That never happened and he can’t prove it and neither can you I challenge you to post your proof! You sound as fucking ignorant as he is.

Sad state of affairs. Pathetic. This article was re-posted on Paulick. To me it's showing that whether it's track ownership, state agencies, racing commissions-----the responsible parties for governing the sport and the industry-----have failed. But they haven't just failed sport and the industry. They have failed everyone-----owners, horsemen, bettors, and the horses. Period.
