So actually what are your thoughts on all this decoupling and is the rest of Canada next and where are all those trainers going. Florida is just about to decouple too, not that it really matters now. When decoupling occurs the tracks just preemptively close they don't even give it a shot.

Florida is not about to decouple T-Bred racing.

DeSantis is creating a bidding war.

He'll win either way.

the people who race in British Columbia will just slide over to Alberta, where both Century Downs and Century Mile both rotate tbreds and harness

Pompano
Freehold
Cal Expo
Fraser

What bidding war? I know DeSantis is against decoupling.

But can't Belinda say screw it and just shut down and develop it?

The casino nets $60 Mil a year.

The property is 200 acres.  5 homes/acre at $2Mil each is $2 Billion.

She'd probably get $800 Mil to $1 Bil.

Even if my math is off, it's a long way from $60 Mil/yr to what she'd get if she said fuck it.

If you told me they're working toward moving rating to Palm Meadows, that would make sense.

Repole supports Ocala, and t-bred racing not decoupling, possibly interested in buying GP...he wants to build a track in Ocala?, I heard talk about that but not about him.

1/2 mile from the beach, that is a much better plan  tmbz1

$60mil  ngc3

DeSantis is about DeSantis, throwing his hat in the ring 2028.  Wants money, he'll win Florida in the Primary this time no problemo, he needs big $.

These seasoned politicians parse their words very carefully - doesn't support existing legislation to allow decoupling  tmbz1

[/quoteIsn't that what the casino nets a year? Maybe I read it wrong. If I'm wrong, do you have a correct number?

The $60 mil is reported correct, it's a fucking joke, best location in South Florida and they finish in 7th place (out of 8  ngc3), behind everyone and just in front of their neighbor, the Big Easy Casino (formerly the now Deceased Hollywood Dog Track).

No Parimutuel track will EVER be built at Palm Meadows.

Have you ever been to these parts, no one would drive there.

No one lives out there.

10 miles west of the beach is not a 10 minute drive.  ngc3

The fucking Florida Turnpike  ngc3

Alligators in the grandstand  ngc3, and ZERO of the @6mil tri county area would drive within 5 miles of it!  ngc3

Lunatic Asylum!  ;D
