I am praying for the two National Gurad members shot yesterday. Despite Mayor Bowser begrudgingly admitting the Guard's presence has made a big difference in the crime stats, the city is a high-crime shithole. Outside of the neighborhoods like Georgetown and around Dupont Circle, it's a dangerous town at night. Great sites and some of the best restaurants on earth, the DC Police have their hands full there. Most residents will admit it's an extremely dangerous place. So you have to be aware of what's around you at all times. A tough way to live.
