Guy made $87 a year over 38 years as Driver/Trainer. You won't see him tout that fact to his "followers."  Kind of would cripple his "my years training horses" street cred claim.

We felt good about them finding "good homes". But after your eye opening photos, i've learned more about the sad futures for many of these horses. Keep advocating for kindness and mercy for these animals.

We felt good about them finding "good homes". But after your eye opening photos, i've learned more about the sad futures for many of these horses. Keep advocating for kindness and mercy for these animals.

Reality is there's nowhere near enough places for them after the fact. And yes the Amish will work them usually as buggy horses until they can't anymore. Then it's either a bullet or a kill pen. When meat prices are up they certainly have no problem getting them sold at auction. Even if the industry truly wanted to, it's unrealistic to think the amount of horses it casts off can be absorbed.
