 95% of bettors watching the race had Louprint on their tickets. You're just an IDIOT,  DELUSIONAL DUMBASS and negative nellie!  ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

96%? You might want to try third grade arithmetic again.

Won’t see the track again, will be syndicated soon I would estimate share price will be $70,000 to $75,000 on a 120 share basis

Burke like to race. He missed some of the big races during the year. Lost his last two starts. He may see the track again just to maximize his value.

people typical Fx ribs due to trauma

the question I have is how did this happen?

could have been cast recently and they didn't realize it when they got him up?

I tend to agree with this. I think it's a pretty fair hypothesis that his fracture(s) were hairline or at least not displaced given it took two vets, as others have said, to diagnose. If this horse is as good as he appears he could be, if he can heal well and in a reasonable time, I'd think they'd want to showcase him. He left a lot of money on the table this year, even with his successes.

There's a lot of if's, but provided he can heal 100%, wouldn't be surprised at all to see him back.

The article on USTA states he got hung up in the stall gate.

The story on Facebook is a filly was loose in the barn. Louprint got his feet stuck through the stall gate door. There was not a scratch on him...but later discovered fractured ribs. HMMM......

Horseplop is as negative as a group of the liberal media at a Trump press conference.

This is a stallion/business decision. He's a marketable, viable stallion. From an economic and stallion perspective, there is absolutely zero reason to race. None. Unless they are going to try and do something foolish. A lot to lose, nothing to gain.

He was undefeated, first loss, in an elim race, a step or so after the finish line he goes by the winner. Final, he gets parked the mile, comes up with broken ribs and finishes off the board. That's it. There's the excuse. They have their story. Damage control. Saves tarnishing his stallion propaganda. He wins 3yo colt pacer of the year, he'll get some votes for pacer of the year, and so on and so on.

Those two losses plus his limited amount of races have decreased his value. Of course, no one cares that the industry is dying because the "stars" are retired a couple months afer becoming "stars".

Question is:  With multi-million dollars stallions involved, where's the night watchman to reel in a loose filly?

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
