I doubt it's jealousy, but the stats don't lie, and his earnings have been trending downward the past few years, 2025 being his worst year in a long time.

There is no doubt Tony's had a bad year. No doubt he's on a bad run (trending downward). It's simply a fact. My only point is that he is not a fraud, not a pretender, and he is a very good horseman. He didn't forget how to train horses, and he didn't wake up stupid. He just has had a bad run. It happens. Sure, you get a regally bred yearling, a top priced yearling, and it doesn't work out and the horse is a dud. It happens. Unfortunately, it's not just one for him. A dud here and there, underperformance, not earning their price, not paying their way, and so on. Bad run. It happens. Happened to other trainers as well. I would think some are jealous of previous success and the opportunities Tony's had.
