[The Unstable]

The person responsible for this is the murderer whose mind was poisened by the internet which monetizes extreme opinions and trolling.  The internet echos the extreme sides words and stirs the pot in the name of making money.  And that is just not the usual suspects. X, Facebook etc. There is the underworld of the dark web.

I love and respect what Gov Cox of Utah said in the aftermath.  That we need to turn down the vitriol and rhetoric.  That you should get off the internet and go outside and see the grass. Our President sadly continues to raise the temperature and demonizes fifty percent of the nation the overwhelming who are against this type of violence. The world’s richest man does the same in his echo chamber X. What if they both said this needs to stop now? That we need to work through our differences for our survival.

Kirk was part of the culture of trolling. He concluded the death of children in Nashville as a price we had to pay for the second amendment. He also made sometimes valid points at times. The question he never asked was what happens when the second amendment and guns everywhere takes away your first amendment rights for free speech.

I of course did not like many other things he said but I would NEVER advocate his death or even harm to him.

Most normal people can agree that we should never except this type of violence as it will be the true death of our nation.  Sadly our current President is not one of them. Our past Presidents all know and said better. And I hope all of us here know that too.

From what I understand, the father had some connection to law enforcement. That being said, the decision to turn the killer in must have been difficult and heartbreaking. I wish the family well.
