Chester all of a sudden!!!
« on: September 02, 2025, 06:23:04 PM »
Friday sire stakes finals nice card . But they found 100k for 2- 25k short field opens and 50k invite with 6 unknown horses . No money for everyday racing guys but they find 100k for the big stables . This might be my opportunity to go there I just don’t want to get mugged in the parking lot. But I really want to go before they close the place up for good .

You will never get mugged in the parking lot.  Heck i been to soccer games and didn’t get mugged walking in Chester proper.

The entire Philly Metro area is not in Chester.  And if you never been to Rittenhouse Square or have a house on the main line you better have way over 1 million dollars. Yes Philly has some very rough areas , especially to the North but lots of it is perfectly fine.  Perhaps you should go visit the liberty bell , Independence hall etc.  they are all awesome.  You can see where the Declaration of Independence was signed.  Get out of your bubble!

Chester may not be too bad during the day, but I wouldn't want to break down there after dark in some neighborhoods.

I worked in Center City Philly for a while in the 80's and it was okay because it was the daytime, but 2 miles away the neighborhoods were very dangerous.

Name a small town in rural America and Appalachia that is a opioid infested shit hole.  The list is endless.  Good and bad everywhere.
