Of course yesterday Yonkers was the only NY track not on board with the change.
Almost to be expected from them...

means nothiing
If a horse pays $2.19 instead of $2.10 that's 49% more profit. That's something significant if you bet that way. I only bet pick 5's so you're right it doesn't mean much to me.

what is their benefit of not giving it to the player? i thought that money went to the state

The state used to get all of it but that changed at some point

McKenna said that NYRA retains approximately $800,000 a year from the current state rules on breakage. Separate chunks of breakage go to the New York State Gaming Commission, depending on the bet type and the origin of the bet. New York’s other tracks would also retain lower revenues from betting with the reduction.

the ADWs like FanDuel, Twinspires, Xpressbet get the most of the free round down money, the tracks get a smaller piece

My Finger Lakes P4 yesterday went from $9.50 to $9.51, not sure what I’m going to do with this windfall

You might want to check your math there, but, regardless, I never thought the track, state, or anyone should get this money. All monies should be returned to the bettors.

I'm talking harness tracks, unless they lowered them too. It doesn't matter to me because I never play them anyway.

Yes, they are 25/26% at harness tracks in PA......

Here's a handy link for N.A. harness tracks......

It's pretty sad looking at the map on your link and seeing far too many tracks listed, that are no longer open.

That seems like a big number.  Where did the $44m number come from?

If the calculated payout is $4.39 the wager pays $4.20. that is every bet every race every day.

Unless you're in a state like NY that pays $3.10 instead of $3
