since Chantilly blasted and made the lead easily

NOT easily. That mega leaving move must have come at considerable cost. In hindsight she could have made the front much slower. Her first 100 yards was as fast as I can remember anywhere.

Zero excuse. Was lucky to hold 2nd.

James ended her chance of winning at the very start. Both Miki and Minnie and Rodeo Drive Deo got perfect trips drafting for most of the mile.

You do realize that this race was at Pocono Downs, which is one of the most (if not the most) speed favoring track in North America?? Half the races on Saturday were won by horses on the front, which is pretty typical for Pocono.

You do realize 25.4? You do realize she only lost by less than a length? You do realize Miki and Minnie drafted behind her for 7/8th of the mile?

Geez give this thread a rest already. They are both great fillies and either one could beat  the other on any given day. Anyone on here would love to own a piece of either one. The rematch won't happen until the breeders crown unfortunately

I also thought the first 1/4 (or more accurately, the first 1/8) was a bit excessive. I do think they’re pretty even fillies, but don’t think
Chantilly can be at peak tightness just yet. Might be a different story come Breeder’s Crown (and on her home turf, no less).
