I said this many months ago.  With one license already going  to Genting at The Big A, chances for another racino getting a casino license is not good.

But in 2026 Belmont will have year round racing for TB's eliminating the tag "Racino " because horses will no longer race at Aqueduct.

Correct.  The state backed this plan with a half billion in loan grantee.  So, Full casino at the former Aqueduct, it leaves the politicians 2 licenses to sell. There are some super proposals in outstanding locations that will produce so much more than Yonkers could ever .

Either way, Yonkers is toast.
 If MGM gets the casino, it will no longer be shackled to the mandate to hold racing. So, if they're awarded the license at noon, by 12:01 the eviction notices will be nailed to the paddock door. If they fail to get the license, no way they continue to run slots and single file racing for the ten trainers allowed to race there and compete with a new full-blown casino ten miles away. They'll pack up and sell the real estate. Two possible scenarios - same outcome for racing.
