Does it even matter? If there is no sale tmbz1

It might. A creditors committee, or a Judge, could force action. It could be BK, or perhaps an auction. The wolves are already knocking at the door. You can only hold them off for so long. Then there is a sale.

They have to sell. At this point it's a matter of how much this goof Tim Carey thinks the track is worth vs what Caesars/Harrah's is offering. At nearly the last minute Carey believed the value was higher and tried to keep more control. The fact is he's gone no matter what. He can roam around an empty building that's 1/2 destroyed and still think he's a big shot or just get what he can for the cousins and other family who own shares.
well, it's game over here at Maywood. thanks johnny Johnston for giving us fans the shaft!

Any update on this? Anything in the news? That might be slightly more legit than rumors and innuendo, LOL.

total radio silence from my friend who runs security at Hawthorne. Ditto for all the thoroughbred horsemen who had heard about the potential deal.
A,deal was there; someone backed off/out at the last minute and supposedly it wasn't Harrah's/Caesars

Roy Arnold was a legitimate buyer for Arlington. Not sure if he still has the partner/money, but he was certainly legit back then. He was the underbidder. I don't know if this fits for him, but I am guessing it didn't because if it did, he'd be interested.

Can you imagine what fuckups the Johnston and Carey families are that we're 1 step away from Fairmount being the only track left in Illinois?
Washington Park
Aurora Downs
Sportsmans
Quad City Downs
Cahokia
All went 1st, now Arlington might be a Bears stadium or a warehouse park.
Maywood  = Amazon warehouse
Balmoral  = rotting w/Czech trucking storage
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot  43z.stf

  • Sweet: The fact of the matter is the win pool on Beau Jangles was I believe a negative pool,  his real odds not 1/9 but 1/99.  Enough already, we're the real patrons of thius F'ing sport, many of us also care for these animals despite the best don't want drugs and whipping, abuse.  Competition yes!
