I heard Rolla say a few times that a TV series is being developed based on his life. If that happens, and it is a good presentation, I can not imagine how much more damage will be done to horse racing.

Fug the public won’t care if he is small potatoes if the show is very good. They will watch it just like the public enjoys all sorts of garbage out there. And if that happens the shit could hit the fan.

What's he gonna tell us? That Humberto's GF kept the path to the $50 window open for him 40 years ago or his "magic" with Seahawk Hanover? He hasn't been relevant in years? Can't see "Pass the Envelope: The Larry Rolla" story gathering a fan base outside racing people. I asked my kids, all in their 20s if they would watch such a show and they all looked at me and rolled their eyes, and they grew up in the business

Fug my last comment on this topic is this…all generations love mafia stories. Since the advent of talkies to current movies and TV fans just eat this stuff up. Larry will be just a small bean once the story zeroes into the families and how they manipulated the drivers and trainers. And remember they were also fixing college basketball games. There is so much meat in his story, even if it’s BS, that if produced right he may do ok.

Could be. Can't argue the Mafia guy fascination. I watch everything Michael Franzese puts out. He was the real deal, of course.

They would be much better off doing a show on today’s current bs like starring nick surrick and the jailhouse horsemen. People would love to see what happens in today’s racing game. There isn’t much interest in a bust out has been like rolls. The guy was never anything. Only a wanna be coffee runner for the big wigs.
Johnny Johnson fucked up Chicago harness racing. I hope you die !!!!

Hey I’m all for a TV series on all these crooks. A different one each week in a limited series might be entertaining. Unfortunately it would be hard to be a limited series  73cv.2
