In reading about this slaughter of children I always wonder how religious people keep believing. Is this what our maker had in mind when mankind was created? Constant murders, famine, illness etc. If I was the creator I would blow our earth up and start over.

Almost 9 days of warnings and restraint along the Southern routes by Israel. The last thing it wants to do is cause major civilian losses to Palestinians. But Hamas must be entirely eliminated. Hamas has told its people to stay and blocked evacuation routes. Hamas has always used human shields to inflate civilian deaths to win the propaganda war and gain sympathy and cash. Hamas has always and still does intermingle in churches, schools, residences and businesses. Hamas has always and still does put its HG in bunkers below schools and hospitals. the last was a maternity hospital. Hamas in its charter has always called for the total anihilation of the Jewish state and its people. Hamas has always rejected the 2 state solution.... So what is Israel supposed to do exactly?

So, Israel and Netanyahu are blameless victims here?

Netanyahu's incompetence is only exceeded by his level of corruption. 

He got back into power by making deals with Israel's most extreme, anti-Palestinain faction.   He worked to limit the power, and essentially cripple- Israel's independent judiciary and stop it from prosecuting him for his crimes. And he succeeded.

A democracy cannot succeed without an independent, non-corrupted judicial branch.  (Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas anyone?).

While hundreds of thousands of Israelis protested Netanyahu's actions every single weekend, Israeli extremists did all they could to provoke and incite Palestinian unrest.

Meanwhile, Israeli Intelligence failed.  And Hamas attacked.

I am not a Hamas or Palestinian apologist.  Ever since Arafat turned down the deal that had Israel giving up any control over 100% of Gaza and 92% of the West Bank, the Palestinians were doomed to generations of poverty and hoplessness. 

The West Bank settlements  now have close to 500,000 Israelis living there, including 200k in East Jerusalem.  Good luck with that 2-state solution.  Not going to happen.

I am not a Jew Hater.  But to ignore the level of Bibi's corruption  is bad policy and bad politics.

The slow-rolling of the Israeli invasion is clearly in response to  US/Russia/Chinese calls.

The U.S. has 2 warships in or headed to the ME.  Russia is already there.  China has 6 warships there/headed there.  China calls them routine escorts for freight. Sure. 

Meanwhile, U.S. military is shooting down drone launched launced by Iran from Yemen on a routine, daily basis.  Our bases in Iraq, the same

It'll be interesting to see any substantial land invasion proceeds, if it happens at all.  How does Israel take physical control of any significnat territory?  How do they hold it? 

Fighting Hamas in bombed out cities and caves and tunnels will be a far different military tactic than turning off power, food and water supplies to Gaza.  Will Israeli people support tunnel warfafe?  Not for long.  No way.

There are nothing other than bad options here.

I sort of think people over exaggerate Chinas military power. Yes, they have a Navy with an overall ship count larger than ours, but we have 11 nuclear powered super carriers and they have one.
The U.S has over 3000 nuclear missiles, China has 400.
Granted China has a larger soldier count than us but last time we faced off in Korea in the 1950's they lost 3 soldiers to every 1 we did.
As far as Israel, I don't think they have much of a choice but to decimate Hamas. Like every military endeavor some collateral damage will occur.

Here is why at its worst it really won’t matter. If any country sets off a nuclear weapon the world as we know it will be over. It won’t matter who has the most soldiers, tanks, ships or feet on the ground. Within minutes so many people will be dead we won’t know what hit us.

My point is why should the USA make a deal with China for nuclear arms reduction when Russia is in the background with 6000 nuclear missiles.
My opinion is that the Biden admin wants to look strong against China by making a useless arms deal only to strengthen Russia's hand.
11 to 1 ratio in nuclear 5000 man crew aircraft carriers is a gigantic edge not counting our nuclear subs.
Russia only has 1 aircraft carrier and I read it can't travel under its own power, it needs another ship to tow it.
The number of nuclear missiles is a deterrent, let's keep it at 3750, making a deal with China to reduce that number while Russia licks their chops is crazy.

Perhaps one nuke is a terrible thing but there is a difference between one and enough to make your opponent's country a big hole in the ground.
