No Match

Interesting how DD basically stopped "driving" his filly 150 yards out when he knew it was hopeless.

Actually it was a compliment. He owns and a piece and it was smart for a 3yr old.  Imagine a nut like Walter slashing and kicking to the wire.

He should not be sitting 6th at the 1/4 pole in ANY race as a 1/2 shot.  You go out for some kind of early position, not back to 6th.  That is how Tetrick lost the North America Cup.

I have refrained from using the word overrated to refer to DD, but it may be used soon. I know he has earned a ton, BUT, will someone list the important, major races he as won this year as compared to his rivals?  We have all seen him have some dreadful days on big days this year and put down some truly God awful performances in big moments. Something just doesn't click for me with this guy. I still believe he started his move too soon in the Jug final with Seven Colors.

With Twin B's gate speed, it was clearly his plan, right or wrong, to follow Sylvia. Sorry 'bout his luck.

You are obviously very knowledgeable about the sport but. Come on every top driver has had bad years. He will still earn over $400k this year. That is 10x the average person in America

Merriman is the same as Casey was. I believe that plays a major role in his unpopularity outside Nfld. Decent  stock is not cheap.

Sorry..see third post of the thread tmbz1

Got it.

I hope these two superstars are a bit better next week but the drive on Sylvia was super conservative and I do understand not whipping and slashing on TBJF but you'd like to think she could hold off the circus monkey behind her off those fractions.

This is why i won't touch the elims with a 10-ft pole (or $10 bill).
