Hawthorne Jimmy Miller and John Walsh wanted a Sunday off
« on: August 22, 2022, 12:06:29 PM »
So Hawthorne harness typically handles $450k on a Friday / Saturday night with competition from Mohawk and others....their Sunday night handle has been doing in the ballpark of $800k +....these handle numbers have been consistent over time....

So this weekend - with only enough entries to fill 2 nights of racing - they choose to race Friday and Saturday???  11.wp 11.wp 11.wp

Even these 2 idiots, who have run the Illinois business into the ground, can't be this fuckin dumb.  For some reason, Hawthorne doesn't care about their handle - and are doing their best to generate as poor of numbers as it can....

Must be part of a grand plan - Tim Carey....what's going on????

That’s Sunday was always a Sunday off because of Springfield and the fairs, I don’t think they wanted to have Sunday of no racing just worked out that way. Walsh and Miller good peeps, love harness racing!
