Chalk festival today, same as all tracks, miss the old days. The chemicals forced many smaller outfits, part time horseman to leave the business.
Yup for sure, used to always race afternoon & evenings for 9 or 10 days. Now can't get full fields etc. I heard a few local barns got hit with sickness just prior to O.H.W
Now it's more of a relaxing vacation, plenty of enjoyment with the family & kids. Small little island with a bunch of things to do.
