Corey and Andy.....what happened to their careers?
« on: July 30, 2025, 11:58:17 PM »
Callahan has only 1 drive ALL season at the Meadowlands and his new homes are Ocean Downs and Chester whereas Miller is 3 for 106 at the Meadowlands and is an automatic toss in the betting there.  What happened to their careers?

Andy Miller owns / partnered on plenty of horses, heck, those nice purses at Oak Grove, he was collecting a bunch of that.  He's making tons, don't worry about his lack of drives.  He's got drivers driving for him and Julie as you can't be in 2 places at once.

I dunno about Callahan, does he own too?, but 2 totally different animal's here!   ;D

Andy's more than numerous front end Freehold blast jobs for medical mad scientist Surick and crew will go down as his darkest period. Cheap horses lives be damned.

Years later, and Freehold house of horrors now locked away,
hopefully hes now at peace with himself (and others)

His many years of success has set him up now to take more driving nights off.

For the most part Corey drives at Dover, Harrington, and Chester, with an occasional trip to Ocean for MDSS action. Alot of his drives in Delaware are with his father Nick's horses who win at about a 10% clip. He also drives alot for Dylan Davis. He's also part owner on a few of them with Nick. His purse earnings last year were around 4 million.

So far this year, Andy Miller's stable has earned $868,000 in purses. They have more than 40 horses and own part of most of them, let's say they own 50%, that's only $434,000 in purses. With expenses, they're losing money because the majority of their horses don't earn their keep, plus alot of the 2-year-olds, some which cost decent money haven't run yet. A bigger problem is Julie thinks Andy is a good driver which he isn't, I guess love is blind.

Callahan is a true family man who makes a very nice living every year. He began driving late in life. Holds a business degree and is a very talented hockey player. Made over $4 million in 2023, then over $5 million in 2024. So far to date he's over $2 million with the Dover meet coming up, where he does very well, and also Chester. I think many people would love to make $250,000 a year plus tips and enjoy spending valuable time with their kids growing up. They only grow up once.  You mention his name to anyone, and they all say "a class act."

Yonkers 1A. Why do I feel that your W-2 isn't ANYWHERE NEAR $250.000 and there is some jealousy here. He does what he loves and makes a very nice living. and spends lots of time with his family as the kids grow up.  Not a bad life to live.  And YOURS???

Andy Miller's career ended with the indictments and Gural calling him to tell him no more EPO.  Corey is class act but when the big money events come around he couldn't win due to his driving style.  He's a gas and go guy.  Dover is not the place to learn how to drive if you want to drive GC.  Driving a gassed up 20 claimer is much different than driving in the Hambo.  The next one to fall off the list will be Tetrick.  Has zero GC horses to follow and no trainer wants to deal with him and his attitude.  Burned a lot of bridges over the years.  In past years he would have driven Super Chapter but after picking off Oaks winner for Melander they will never use him again.  Takter doesn't use anymore nor does Toscano.  All his gas trainers are gone and he can't buy horses anymore.  Where is super trainer at 70 Jimmy King?  Oh I forgot Timmy & Josh don't feed him the juice anymore hence he bats .098 now.  ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

Corey had very few if any live drives in the big events because he wasn't good enough to get the top horses. Corey never had anywhere near the talent Tetrick has, and even though he's fallen out of favor with the bigger stables still won over 8 million in purses last year.

statistically speaking  andy and julie millers big ticket yearling purchases the last few years have not done well
you cant cover those losses with some 5% driving fees at oakgrove etc

Ken Rucker only races at Hoosier Park now it looks like.  What happened to the east coast? Tony Morgan is back driving as well now.

Yonkers1A, to belong here you have to have at least 1 of 10 critical dysfunctions, you have 6.  Congratulations, you're a mentor!

A yob, not necessary unless you can't afford the booze, you're good!

It's ok if you can't see your wiener, when you can't see your feet, consider asking a jockey for weight maintenance tips.

Admit it, you couldn't walk down the street to buy that booze without running into 6 guys your ol' lady fucked, you're better off...
