Total handle was a nice $3,440,248.00.  tmbz1  Last year they did $4 million but is was Pace night.  In fact, last year, the same stakes card as tonight was run July 6th, a week earlier, and the 11 race handle was $2,654,992.

Do you realize that there is a current pandemic and all tracks are doing better than last year?

Is there something wrong with your thought process? Do you read other posts or just spew your negative spin? Huge drop off? It was Pace night last year the same weekend with MANY stakes race finals!  This year the date was moved back 1 week.  Next week will be Pace night and it will dwarf last year's $2,413,614 handle the same night so what will you say next week, or will you return to vegetative cerebral hibernation?

Do you realize last year it was Pace night vs. this year? Next week the handle will be around $4 million vs. last year's $2,413,614 the same night.  Next week will top last year's handle by around $1.5 million so what will you say then? Look at the FACTS.  Compare the races that were run. THEN decide. 16W will disappear next Saturday night! Bank on it!

As long as the handle is above 3 million in these times itís a great number . Half of our patrons still are unemployed and have no money to gamble . Our numbers have fallen every year and undoubtedly in 5 years anything over 2 million will be a great number . Just be happy we still have some entertainment.

I would answer your questions if you answered mine.

Do you realize that because of the pandemic that handles are generally up across the board in both breeds?

To all of the doubters here, the proof is in the results. Total handle--------$5,051,261.00!----------last year, the same night, the handles was only $2,413,614.  Tonight's Pace night was also OVER $1 million MORE in handle than last year's Pace night, which was run a week earlier.  16W can now retire from his negative postings as it is apparent the Meadowlands was, is, an always will be, the KING of harness racing handles in North America!
