Before baking soda
« on: March 25, 2020, 01:13:22 PM »
Soda was around in the late 80s. Does anyone know what was used before? All the big guys back in the 60s and 70s must have tried many chemicals.

A friend of my uncle always talked about how trainers would put cocaine on the mouthpiece straps of the horses. His cousin would phone in some huge exacta bets to the “Meadows” and made quite a bit of money. Once the tellers caught on they would share this info and his wins would be very diluted.

Baking soda has been used for 150 years on horses. Worked then, Still Works Today. Fact: Vets make no money in baking soda.

I remember the vet coming around to give Equipoise in the late 70's, possibly bantamine if I remember correctly..I remember when my french canadian friends would get me skunk oil to rub on one of mine with bad knees..It blew the knee up but I did win a few in a  row using it on this claimer
