« Reply #15 on: February 13, 2020, 07:55:29 PM » about, say...the North America Cup in Toronto for a million and say..two of the ten drivers wired directly..and say..driver with better horse pulls, and yells 'go' via earpiece to the driver of other, lesser horse to also pull right behind him and block all traffic.  The days of 1 and 1a fading fast...replaced by the days of 3 horses entered by same trainer in same race.
BUT WHO NEEDS SAME MULTI ENTRY TRAINERS ANYMORE..when two separate trainers can cut their own deals and execute via driver mics and headpieces...two horses and connections in cahouts and both collect $$.

anyway, doesnt sound legal but technology def. avail.
Or maybe all 10 wired up..and seconds after race judges talk directly to them, while still in bikes, to check on any 'driver complaints' and/or 'driver-based inquiry launched'...Hell, judges could talk DIRECTLY to potential dq'ed driver. 'why did you go inside pylons'..'why did you slow race down on front end to a crawl'....more driver responsibilty and accountability, a good thing
Drivers aren't wired to each other. They are wired to a licensed spotter that is working for them. Driver only has an earpiece. They have no microphone to communicate. All communication is monitored. In fact you could probably make it available in real time to the public. People are betting millions on Nascar. They don't seem to have any problem with this type of technology. I just figured with sports in general pushing the technology envelope for an edge, this might be an option for Harness Racing
