Sheeeeeeeit, is this a day ngc3
SPA, Mohawk, The Meadows, Horseshoe Indiana, Scioto, Prairie Meadows, Hoosier and the flagship BigM card - The Meadowlands Pace!
I have literally 21 (inc one ae, Mushuggah) from my VS pop up, oh boy!
35 races to gander at ngc3
You've got The Manager with his managed ngc3 Matt Kakaley on some at the BigM, JMac :P and crackhead McNair :P are there too.
I slept 9 hours.
I had a couple of glasses of booze (Baily's Irish Cream) before bed, woke up woozy i.e. the JT recipe for gambling success! tmbz1
I added 3 more to the IGGY list, that's 25 ngc3
VS follows, selections coming soon.
Good Luck and... ;D

Its a good system
My phrase I haven't copyrighted yet..
"Handicapping while Hungover"
It makes you study the race less which usually leads to success
Some of the big boys are at Horseshoe Indiana today. Saez ,Irad, Flo Geroux with a couple of Baffert horses and Jr. Looks like a good card. I always like playing that track for whatever reason. Its Indiana Derby Day.
Curious about the Scioto horse to pop up in the VS.
That many tracks you will be like bello on steroids ngc3

If Bello's grandchildren are anything like him, they'll wrap up a 4 year degree, a masters and doctorate in 6 months ngc3
He's not all human ngc3
He's part velociraptor...I hang his studying the racing form on my wall! ;D

Would not surprise me if they eventually go off the turf
It will be raining on and off there all day

agree 100%
"Handicapping just after dabbing"--for me it certainly makes me study less and you go with gut and first instincts as opposed to over analyzing--which causes problems
-
Race 5 Horseshoe Indy--i have a 1/9 shot if anyone wants to play with.....
#7 JR Shadow Boy
with the scratches of #1 and #2--i will use #3 as my cold exacta
post time 2:25 PM EST
also--this one is a bridgejumpers delight--possibly $100k to show...-this is a speed horse so I don't blame anyone if they put $2 show on the others hoping for a blowup
-
Ooh ooh ooh...I like two longshots in the 10th at the SPA - the GII Bowling Green ngc3
#2 Soleil Volant 12-1
#5 Carson's Run 10-1
Capable, distance, inner turf (7f), Jockey's and the 5 looks like an ultimatum as DD went ice cold with that millionaire daddy - won a G1 off a layoff too.
Weeeeee ;D

#1 scratched to be in the Indiana Derby
No way that horse loses. Total bridge jumper race.
Possible negative pool.
I like the 6 underneath
Doubtful I play it
I will use the 7 as a free single in pick 5's like everyone else will

Any of those 6 could win that race IMHO.
The trainers and jocks in that race alone make it wide open
-
Quick poll.. who does everyone like in the first at the SPA
#1 or #5
I am singling the 6 in race 3..
Need another single
Race 2 wide open
Race 4 wide open..4 the likely favorite but a $ burner
Race 5 any of those could win.. 6 probably favored but vulnerable

Let's test that theory sure but why not the others for me...
7f turf course, no lasix, firm track, weight at 1m 3/8's - you take all that into consideration!
The 4 is the only bogey but that jockey sucks @ssholes at a lesser distance, he better not get lost at the route ngc3

I don't like playing a horse where its their first start over here
If someone put a gun to my head and made me choose it'd be #1
I like #5 as well. Has won 2 of 3 starts there and second in the other one

You'll think I'm a sick @sshole ngc3 (you're correct tmbz1) I like the #2.
Unreal breeding, who is his grandam and sire, wow wee.
Got blasted out of the gate his last and that was that, why bother from there.
I like everything about the 5 but his breeding.
The 1 excellent debut, is he running back, possibly, however other than Good Magic what good 2yos did Curlin put out?

Palace Malice
Exaggerator
Vino Rosso
Malathaat

Cody's Wosh

I watched the replay of the #2 and his race was an autotoss
In other words pretend it didn't happen
A case could be made for the 2
Very green didn't even try at the end.

Thinking I will all that race and single elsewhere
A case could be made for #3 as well
Back to work ngc3

Although my bets are in for today here's my picks for races 1-5 at Saratoga today.
Race 1 - #1 Midnight Still
Race 2- #7 Aerial Affair -Some fast works.
Race 3- #5 Army Gal- 2nd start off a layoff.
Race 4- #1 Sounds Like A Place - Wire-to-wire.
Race 5- #6 In Our Time - Can sit off a little and pull away in the lane.

Here is Horseshoe Indiana
Had to leave a few out to make this work.
Need some prices and to beat the 5 in leg 3..
If it was 5.5 f I would have gone with the 5.. at 6f I prefer the 2
1,2,4-8/3,4,6,7,9,10/2/2-8/7
$147

He's not a bad handicapper. I too look at his picks. I met him last year at Saratoga. Nice guy with a good sense of humor. I know many compare him to the late great Harvey Pack. But it's a unfair comparison. Two very different approaches to picking horses.

Serling is a real prick off the air as well-several have told me so and my Uncle played poker with Andy's father
he is very good at knowing which "paths" were good on any given day
I view him for horses he doesn't like not the ones he likes
he throws out Irad and Prat and Brad Cox every race because he says they are no value-i don't think that is very bright on his part
-
Hey boysRe: Serling he does his fair share of redboardung, Byr when he takes a strong stand on a winner. Look out.
Re race 1 at Spa likely using 1 and 3 Main focus today will be monmouh and the meadows.
I cant believe the thread is up to race three and the races havent even started Nice

Sometimes he just tries to beat the favorite when you know it ain't happening.
And no that isn't to bright
With some of the cappers on some of these pre-race shows, its not a hard bar to clear to be considered decent.

Do the best of both worlds to quote my favorite band
Bailey's in the coffee. tmbz1
My Christmas morning tradition.
My favorite shot in my bar going days included Bailey's
It was Bailey's, creme da mint and bicardi's 151
It was called a hand grenade ngc3
-
Here is a cheap one, by my standards at the SPA
All/All/6/7/All
$87.50
7 shows times as fast on dirt as these on turf. Jose has been on a heater.

Exactly..like I mentioned earlier if it was 5.5f I would of gone with the 5, but at 6f I like the 2. I watched the replay a couple times from the race they shared on June 22nd and the 2 blows by the 5 at the end on a track listed as muddy.
-
Desperately need a price in race 2 at the SPA
If its 5 or 7 that ticket is break even at best
-
Hannah Leahey looks like a lot of fun, has sex appeal.
She likes to have her titties out and show her body.
12% driving winners on the dirt.
I'd say close to 100% riding colts and fillies in the bed to satisfaction ngc3

Good friends with Rachel Mclaughlin as well.
Alot of people give Rachel shit, but I don't mind her.

I hope you're right G.C.
Preferably 2,5,6,or 7..fade the 3,4,and 8
Wide open race, 4 will be over bet. 3 was 41-1 his lone start, not a fan of Adam
If I had to pick a winner it'd be the 8
Small hedge bet on the 1 for me for sure.
Trig ya know I always play that track.. that one a few weeks ago that paid 40 grand and I had a will pay of 20 grand still haunts me.

Man Im glad I didn't play the SPA starting in race 3

a little disappointing but great job getting there
this horse is a minus pool in the pick 5

$16 bux

Clearing a profit of $338

It doesn't change your p5 strategy.
Solid, and you're proven talent.
Possibly a budgetary question.
Hit a win tic if you're using a 1/9 cold in another race, that's why that happened and went upside down.

Time for the big boys to take over Indiana
Box the 6,8,9 race 6
And a ticket with 9 on top

Monmouth race 5 $2 p4 5/68/6/17

Big mistake Junior not riding today the future 3 furlong star Motawaali and rather go to Indiana to win a stakes race on Bendoog ngc3

you did your thing and the profit was what it was--and it was excellent handicapping
I know there have been tickets you have cashed that have had some bombs with those heavy favorites that paid well
we do what we do
somebody back wheeled that chalk for thousands in the first four races no doubt instead of taking the $2.10

These maidens are fun to watch, especially at the big tracks but SOOO unpredictable. Have said before that
often you can get a hint by looking at pools and odds but REALLY just a guessing game. Perfect for your 'ALL' JT ;D
You could see that nine start to unwind and man did he come smokin. That's two for Santana Jr today. Not something
you see often anymore.
-
Indiana Pick 5... starting in race 7..total shot in the dark..parlay the profit
1-5,8-10/1,6-9,11/2,5,6,10,11/5/5
$120

I think Ricardo is very underrated for sure.
Problem is B.T two fold..yes perfect for the alls..

I did the same thing to before taking the plunge and joining.
I can tell you know the game very well
The more the merrier with our little gambling group tmbz1
Be prepared for hate and vitriol from some people on here
They frown upon us gamblers trying to have fun and build commradere.

Major Miki never off the board in 5 starts and gets the bobble for Borth who's on WL. Trevor went elsewhere too.
I'm going to name that triple in one note.

Chiming in early on tonight's action. Rare props to M[1] for great card. tmbz1 Credit where credit is due.
Rare but good for them and everyone. Looks like quite a bit of chalk but have two worth a shot with some
odds.
First Louie's girl #1 in the 7th. Trying to upset the dynamic duo.
Then how 'bout Conversano #4 in the 12th?
Getting to my horse NO WAITLIST #9 IN THE 11TH at Mohawk. Obviously the nine hole is not a huge
concern with his gate speed. It's just that he's used to being on the front by two or three by the first
turn and immediately looking back to see who's going to take it from him. Can he race to win? Lasix
really seemed to help last start. Should beat these BUT still can't wait to see him on a smaller track.
Good luck to fellow betters. [except the misfits ;D] Has been and should continue to be a great day of racing. tmbz1

hey Dougie
I see you play at Seabrook sometimes
i drove there once for a weekend about 15 years ago for some heavy betting--they were giving out pretty good rebates so spent 3 days there--it was a ton of fun meeting some dog tracks bettors-they were hilarious
good little restaurant on that tiny intersection nearby

It's my second home! LOL! Can bet the horses, sports, great poker room, and the food restaurants in the Casino are really good. I believe the restaurant on the corner is still there. I hear it's good. But I get lot's of points so I use them at the restaurants inside. I actually prefer the Encore Casino on the Everett/Boston line, but the traffic is as bad as you will ever see. The Brook, which I get to in 35 minutes is a great alternative.
-
Hey Gural Welcome aboard! Do they still operate that Nuclear power plant in Seabrook?
Still no tax on clothes in NH?
-

Yes, no taxes on clothes and other things in NH. Unlike Maine. Where they never found a tax they didn't like.
-
I love Portsmouth and Seabrook was so much fun
they had only poker , horses and dogs--no casino-just bare bones hardcore betting-this was 2013 or so
Seabrook has quite a deep history in dog racing
they had a nickname---The House of Action" or something like that
-
I loved the dog racing at Seabrook. But l also loved Taunton and Plainfield too! If you ever get up this way.....drop me a PM.

Only 2 dog tracks left in the country
Both in West Virginia
The wife's cousin has worked at Wheeling forever.
She posts the numpers up on the tote board and charts the races.

They do double session at Wheeling. We used to open the window and bark as we crossed the bridge on the way to the Meadows. ;D

Very nice JT, down to 55th street at the intersection of Indiana and Horseshoe!
Make it home safe babe! ;D

My dad always told the story from back when they ran harness at Wheeling, that it took them over
an hour to get up the hill out of Wheeling due to icy conditions. My uncle [who started it all with racing
for our immediate family] was driving. My old man had to run like hell, after pushing and getting the car
actually moving, to catch up as my uncle didn't dare stop the momentum. ngc3

I just saw my wife's cousin for the 4th and asked her
They handle a lot of money though and I mean alot.. millions
They pretty much have a monopoly going on.

I was wrong there on that hedge, 4th.
Decent ride, 22, then crawled to 47, 111, the 133 was startling though, but the 8 was on the muscle of that pace.
Junior again.

I need to stick to my VS.
Then string along alls in verticals when they're in consecutive or near close races.
The VS is doing well, my capping sux!
Next up in the VS is the 4 in the 11th at HI. Betty's Pearl, you like Prom Queen.

REALLY big size difference between the one [winner[ and the European invader, the five.

Prom Queen burnt a lot of wps.
$89,755 $13,273 $24,822
4 had more place money though ngc3

I don't hardly ever play Meadowlands, but tonight is definitely an exception to the rule
Early pick 5
1,2,3,5,6,7,8/A/A/4/6
58.80
Got to go with the Ohio trained horse in race 4 and race 5 will be a classic between the 6 and 9
Hope for a few prices in the meantime

Gonna break more speed records tonight

I'm sure everyone is happy for JB in the 1st . Great 'horseman' 1:46.4

Speaking of, Scioto 10-2, remember the 8 horse in the Lou Armstrong race. That's him. Erv trained and owned.
That whole deal with the Noble's stunk.
Throw people out on spec.
Sure it looked ridiculous, one after another going sub 148, 147, still no evidence?

JMac talked about his brother more than the horse in the interview, AMac must be having a bad couple of weeks.
Those two loses at Scioto and Northfield, were enough to cause an uproar, put a spotlight on him and get all his owners angry and frightened over Lou Armstrong.

I really thought Captain Optimustic was headed to a historic win at the top of the stretch. Insane fractions. Bythemissal out of the clouds. He wasnt even at the gate at the start. Horse did nothing for 15 months and thats why they race. Huge miles by Swingtown and ForOnceinmylife. Ervin when roughed up didnt have it. 1-10 at the Big M and the ffa division looks wide open

Horse did nothing for 15 months and thats why they race. Huge miles by Swingtown and ForOnceinmylife. Ervin when roughed up didnt have it. 1-10 at the Big M and the ffa division looks wide open
Cappy & Erv got their 146 3/5 last week.
last i remember that's a big mile even if wrapped up.
The richest horse in the race one.
No shocker.
Just that we're all getting complacent, not doing our homework.
You can never underestimate Burke to be ready.
State of the art training and technology.
Is a predator to aiming horse correctly up until the race, the driver, the instructions.
That separates him from everyone else, as they all use the same peds.
Remember JoBo and Hellabalou in the Borgata...Burke one twice it twice, 55-1 the first time.
He was ready, 147 is not mind blowing.
The others weren't.
These purses suck ass too ngc3

Quick thought..
I have had a few but here me out..
Why wouldn't Petwr Wrenn just put Ronnie Wrenn Jr on Odds on Mr. Mamba
He is clearly capable to handle the big stage.. ie tonight and Louprint last year.
It almost seems like a no brainer really.
Am I being stupid or just buzzed a little ngc3

Didn't he screw them in the LBJ favoring RB too?
They're all making money hand over fist.
OOMM is on a milk carton ngc3

Why do i think a Burke horse could win
Mellilo or AiPapi?

Allegedly sick like BJ is
I call bull shit on that to.
As other's have said.. Monopoly Guy doesn't want to leave Canada
Protect that stud value
Ronnie Wrenn Jr is a good dude, met and chatted with him several times
He has always driven alot for Burke.
Doubtful he comes to the LBJ
OOMM isn't eligible. He could supplement in..but highly doubtful

They have to split divisions because its really not fair to go by earnings
They should go back to eliminations
Bythemissal has been pretty poor for a long while. In this spot with Ervin and Captain no one could see this and if the fractions werent hot it wouldnt have happened
He will be way overbet in the McKee

His last 147 3/5 was solid, not over the top.
He should have enough in the tank to hold these off by a length or two, but if he doesn't understand this sh!t is nuts and always has been nuts seeing standardnbreds race this often. This is his 5th race since May 30th, 42 days ago.
They all ball like babies watching the triple crown run in 5 weeks.
Nothing should surprise us.
He's still the best horse until he shows otherwise. ;D

He totally won for fun in that elimination
Took 3 weeks off between the Cup and this
I would be shocked if he doesn't win by at least 2 or 3 lengths
147.1
The bet is 2/5,7,8
-
BB will float away 4th. Backstretch move to the top and won't look back

Smart bet, maybe the 10 3rd or 4th.
Even wrapped up just means they didn't use more horse.
These horses get sore with what they used.
Hopefully BB didn't.
We're seeing tons of wrapped up horses NOT come back, t-breds, here, a whole new world, when some one is not ready and someone is about to be ready.

They're eating these horses up at 2.
Greeeeeeed.
Glad he won.
Glad DD won too, he's class.
Let's be humble though, I think the wear is showing - on all of them.
-
Just got back from a long day of poker! Won $289 after playing about 10 hours. LOL! But the food was great. I hope you are all making money today!

You are right man..be humble
We are not the misfits ngc3
The grind during the 2 year old year definitely takes a toll
My Grandfather's former trainer/ driver is just now qualifying his babies.
Should be 7 or 8 starts maximum at 2.
BB will take at least 2 to 3 weeks off

No Waitlist won his 2nd lifetime race.
that poor guy didn't break his maiden until 3.
Went 0/14 at 2.
It'll help our strategizing taking each race as they come.
DD is the get it done guy, the big big edge, that we agree.
