If I’m 1-1 going for $150k I’m not letting a horse with 1 ok qualifier go past the half either

especially when it’s part of an entry

Amac probably already ruined the horse. The poor animal will not be seen again until this coming winter at Northfield in a nw1 optional 10 claimer.

Not a fan of this race and the timing - especially for the baby trotters.  Most have only had 1 maybe 2 qualifiers and now you are pushing them to the max because of the $150k purse.  Should find another window for it to happen or make it a series

Still baffles me that when AMac started The Stable, part of it had to do with him not being a very good driver.  He openly admitted that.  And yet 11 years later, he is always the one driving when the big money is on the line instead of using a more competent catch driver.

So you’re 1-1 going for $150k you’re going to let an unraced horse who hasn’t beat 2:00 go after the half so he can back it down to get the entry first over?

You're obviously weak, and the little bit of intelligence you have you use to defend stupidity and blame others.

You f'ing wait for an answer and keep your f'ing mouth shut, and then see from his own words what in any role he can play is salvageable.

1. Wrenn's horse was 8/5 so evidently he was no slouch
2. So according to Amac Lou might have mucus or maybe it was his blood after it is tested.
3. Amac makes the comment that if he would have let Wrenn go he would have gotten pinned in by Wilder. When Amac was being Amac Wilder was at least 6 lengths behind.
4. If the idiot had let Wrenn go at the half, Wrenn most likely would have taken Amac to the top of the stretch so if you have the 1/2 shot you could either go to the right or go into the passing lane and at worst he is 2nd.
5. Amac needs a mirror since he has the lines and according to Amac its never his mistake, other than trying to take a shortcut going inside the pylons. It was Lou that made him go into the passing lane.
6. So lets see Amac put up $20K plus got $18 back and probably billed his sheep $2K-$3K for his amateur efforts taking into account his travel espenses.
Amac is and always has been a complete joke but I give him credit for following PT Barnum s philosophy that there is a sucker born every minute
7. Can't wait to see Lou's next start

Yes. When the other part of the entry is 50-1, yes.

The only reason that horse hit the board is that Anthony didn't let that horse - who was the second choice in the first 2yo stake of the year, mind you - would easily have carried him as far as he needed to go. Let's assume your theory of an entry set up is accurate, despite what appears to be completely separate ownership. Who do you think, of Beachy's horses, was the one they were trying to set up to win?

Instead, AMac drives that really nice colt like he's the second coming of Nevele Pride, and ends up with nothing.

I agree it wasn't the best drive by Ronnie. When he ranged up there and saw AMac was in the process of f-ing up, he should've ducked. Cost them both any money at all.

not the finest moment for either driver
amac parked 28 to the qtr than has to trot a 27.3 third qtr
for trotters masking their first or second start, unnecessary
its a terrible slot for the race and likely does damage to these horses

He says he don’t think he could have drove him any differently. Well if that’s the case, he should never drive that horse again. Let Ronnie go, sit, and you always have the passing lane if he happened to get boxed in. Free ticket!!! Never would admit he drove him terrible & probably put a pretty good wrinkle in him. He looked like a pretty nice colt but that will more than likely b the end of him. Guess could always take him to the fairs but the ones he took to fairs last week didn’t fair too good. Just remember, just a two yr old and first lifetime start. Think of the colt first and not your narcissistic mind. Not the first one cooked and won’t b the last.

AMac was dq'd on top of it, if he who had a nice win under his belt with this horse needs to blame the competition, wrong game.  Anyone who blames the competition.  This exact scenario happened and I posted it here.  The driver on the absolute winning horse to bet let the horse go past him after the half, let the other driver go nuts and came out and beat them all in the end.

It sure did.

I have never met the guy but because it's fractional ownership, I like to see people that buy shares do well. He has some really nice horses including Lou Armstrong.  IMO, he could delegate and save himself a lot of travel if he put others up like his brother James who IMO is like the 2nd or 3rd best driver in North America.  I guess he wants to make more by getting the 5 percent driving and he even admits he's not the best driver.  That race where Lou Armstrong going 1.25 to 3/4's that was pretty bad.

Opinions aside, his brother JMac is better than him, all of his brothers are despite their %s  ngc3, that f'cker cherry picks his drives, JMac is far from being in the top 5 drivers in NA.  Dunn, Bartlett, Gingras, Wrenn, and even Tetrick do and would clean his clock.

McNair, Roy, bobble...those are drivers  ngc3, they're scumbags.  JMac is a cheating scumbag too.

When it comes to fixing, staging races, those are the top 4 in the world  ngc3 and they likely make more money than the top NA drivers doing just that.

Do you get fined/suspended for a slow quarter/half?  This could cost him a good chunk of his 5%.   tmbz1

Not a good time for Scioto.  The track plays very fast to begin with.  What happens when this horse faces better?

From what I have seen of him he is an OSS level colt all day if he doesn't drive him like he's 5x better than anything he's in with. Easy to get away with a race like last night when everyone else knows that, too.

He still may get fined, though 73cv.2

Left out of this was the break she made at the gate. Again, no fan of his style but 2yos trotters are gonna do 2yo trotting things.

However, could've saved his partners quite a lot by letting someone local drive.

Yeah, I would say there are not many better than him at this early stage as long as he doesn't torch him like he did before this win.

Will always think it’s bad for the sport when guys jam these things down in class.  Horse was 4-5 seconds better than anything else, jammed them up to a half in 102 and came a back half in 55.  Feel like you see it in Ohio more than anywhere else

2 year old qualifiers work on the same principle.  The only difference is you don't know how much faster the horses will be in their first start or 2 after this.
