Agree.  It’s a qualifier that comes with a pay check.  Giver her a little confidence boost and have her fight for next stakes race.

And if she struggles in this race then thats probably a wrap on career but obviously she deserves a chance to get her fitness turned around

Sometimes mares start to lose their power at 6. See Test of Faith, Lyons Sentinel, Cavairt Ally

That may be a reason also.  See if she’s still got it or not.  If she can’t beat these it should be off to the breeding shed!

Nice catch Racetime. This is a really ignorant thread. "Lose respect for Ryder."
Never had much in the 1st place it sounds like to me. Horse obviously wasn't
right at Mohawk. Give him a chance to figure it out. Sure it could be she's had
enough but the insinuation that he is mistreating the horse [which he co-owns]
that has made tons of $$ for him is absurd and misguided. 11.wp

These f'ing idiot are jealous of a horse made $3.4mil.

Won almost 75% of her races.

Just low life garbage, you couldn't come close in your lifetime what she did in a handful of years.

Loser bitches.

She falters, whatever, wish her well, don't, retire her, breed her....she's made.

Those that speak like you're above her and her team sitting in judgement are sh!t, laughable barely humans, ya need help and work on your own success or name them  ngc3

It's all politics. I can name many trainers that belong in the HOF before that down under piece of shit. Ryder, Daley, Norman, Pelling, Croghan are all a bunch of cheating scumbags taught by Brian Pelling

Exactly.

She's been horrible and physically unwell since her mishap last year. The gambled and it's pretty apparent that she doesn't want to do it anymore. The missed the breeding season and instead of treating her the right way and turning her out, they have elected to race her and pray for a miracle. For that, i lose some respect for the guy. I hope I'm wrong on this one and she does a 180 but I've seen many mares of quality and when they can't pick up their feet like she hasn't, it doesn't end well.

Quote
Christopher J. Ryder is one of the most respected and accomplished trainers in modern North American harness racing, particularly known for his exceptional skill with pacing fillies and mares. Born in New Zealand into a racing family, he transitioned from a background that included stints as a jockey and a beautician to establishing an elite stable in New Jersey after moving to the United States in 1989.  His career achievements place him at the absolute pinnacle of the sport:1. Hall of Fame InductionIn recognition of his decades of elite-level success, Ryder was elected to the U.S. Harness Racing Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025, receiving his formal induction at Goshen, New York.  2. Major Milestone: 2,000 Career WinsOn June 11, 2026, Ryder officially hit the historic milestone of 2,000 training victories in North America since official USTA tracking began in 1991. Fittingly, the milestone win came at Harrah’s Philadelphia with a sophomore gelding named Piano Man, driven by his son, Patrick Ryder.  3. Financial and Statistical ImpactEarnings: He has trained the winners of over $57 million in lifetime purses.  Peak Consistency: His stable enjoyed an incredible run from 2022 through 2024, posting three consecutive seasons with earnings exceeding $3.4 million annually while maintaining a relatively compact, high-efficiency roster of starters.  4. Breeders Crowns and Dan Patch Champions  Ryder is a powerhouse on the Grand Circuit, having captured eight Breeders Crown titles and conditioned ten Dan Patch divisional award winners. Some of his most legendary champions include:  Twin B Joe Fresh: The breakout pacing mare who captured the ultimate honor as the 2024 U.S. Horse of the Year.  Bettor’s Wish: A double Dan Patch Award winner who earned over $2.6 million on the track before becoming a highly successful sire.  Party Girl Hill & Niki Hill: Dominant pacing fillies that tore through the stakes schedule; Party Girl Hill famously took on and defeated the boys in the 2020 Tattersalls Pace.  Put On A Show: A world champion, Hall of Fame inductee, and $2.4 million-earning pacing mare who won the 2010 Breeders Crown.  Art Major & McArdle: Two cornerstone colts that launched Ryder into the upper echelons of the sport in the early 2000s, combining for over $5 million in career earnings.  Miki And Minnie: A standout pacing mare who secured a rare dead-heat victory in the 2025 Breeders Crown and added a Grade 1 Roses Are Red title to her resume in June 2026.  Known for his patient, quiet, and detail-oriented approach to bringing out the best in young horses, Ryder's transition from a New Zealand transplant to a U.S. Hall of Famer marks one of the great success stories in modern standardbred racing.

Mike C. makes very good points...

1 - Why confuse success, hof with being immaculate / while / no wrong doing which we're finding overwhelmingly is the case that both reside in the same world more than typically.

2 - He says he has first hand knowledge.

If you want to accuse him of having a personal grudge, you first have to dispute 1 is factual and you cannot, and prove the grudge.

Cake eater means someone who has no business voicing his or her opinion, as they aren't qualified to do so. That is you. In this case, you have no idea whether or not the trainer is dirty or not. Do you know anyone who works or worked for him? Do you even know where he is stabled? Like I said, spew your opinion on gambling and not horsemanship, as you are way out of your league.

As Sweet and I had just alluded to, there are 'VERY' few, if any clean top trainers. NEVER said Chris was
racing on hay and oats. Clearly that doesn't prevent you from being considered for and elected to HOF.
Got to go pretty far back in the day to find a trainer elected that you could say was completely clean.

You get 5 positive busts in a career, there are more or less 45 that went under the radar.  These guys are brilliant horseman other than....perfect and competitive to the point and greedy and capable of anything to win right or wrong mentality.

I think the ratio is somewhere around 1 / 10.

You get 5 positive busts in a career, there are more or less 45 that went under the radar.  These guys are brilliant horseman other than....perfect and competitive to the point and greedy and capable of anything to win right or wrong mentality.

As is life.

Every business.

One Better Business Complaint you'll find 9 other ripped off customers that didn't file any.

If the harness racing HOF used asterisks *

Considered one of the greatest harness drivers ever...

*With that said  ngc3 Herve Filion plead guilty for state tax evasion, ending a 5 year investigation into race fixing  ngc3
Herve Filion would have won 30,000 races if he wasn’t a degenerate gambler. The greatest set of hands to ever exist in harness racing.

Crickets from the people calling a HOF trainer garbage. All; the childish name calling reveals who the low class losers are.
You're a fucking asshole. You have bashed Burke a million times. Last time I checked, he is in the HOF.

Kenny bet hope and pray we're not low class losers, from where he stands he barely touches the bottom of our soles  ngc3

I can't put a super retard on IGGY, it's unbecoming.   ngc3

I think you had him confused with someone else. He defends him constantly, in my experience.

Nice to see TBJF racing back to her historic form. It is also nice to have these divisions where multiple horses can win, which was on pretty good display last night.

Good thing for TBJF's competition she has 'FALLEN'. ngc3 Chris split up his girls and take
down both big races for mares as M+M won [100K] at Scioto too. tmbz1
