Yesterday on a 10-race card the total purses were $42,300, an average of $4230 per race. Even with a 10% increase it's only $4653. The leading driver there in 2025 was Mike Merton, his purse earnings were 1.2 million, which means he made $60,000, hardly thriving. The majority of horsemen who race at Monticello lose money every year but in Pacer2's fantasy world, they're thriving too.

What you conveniently and purposely fail to mention is Mike Merton races at other tracks(Tioga) and also makes tips as well has ownership in a few horses. He makes over $130,000/yr and will now be getting more....DUMBASS!
