Despite Mayor Bowser begrudgingly admitting the Guard's presence has made a big difference in the crime stats, the city is a high-crime shithole. Outside of the neighborhoods like Georgetown and around Dupont Circle, it's a dangerous town at night. Great sites and some of the best restaurants on earth, the DC Police have their hands full there. Most residents will admit it's an extremely dangerous place. I'm not sure anyone will ever know the real number of illegal border crossing under Biden's term. The deportations under the President Obama's presidency was about 3.1 milllion. I expect deportations numbers to probably double that by the midterms. But the other interesting thing is the "wholesale" cancellation of people tryng to enter. Policies are tightening up.

Been a long while for me too. I get back often but stay on the upper west side when visiting. Try to stay near the park and get over to the Museum Of National History. When I went to CCNY up in Harlem (now called Hamilton Heights LOL!), we took a 3 credit course at the museum, so it holds great memories for me. Problem is a Sabrett dog with a bottled water in $9.00! LOL!
