Races with males and females

I see numerous races where females are forced to run against males, and would like everyone’s thoughts on this.

Trotting races might give a female an extra 20% in condition races in earnings last 4 or 5 starts.

NW1 or 2 might allow a female an extra win to compensate, etc.
