Great card for sure
No betting all week for me.
Travers Day is all systems go.
Then no more betting until LBJ week.
Been my plan for months now
I've been wagering light too! I love Travers Day. Also saving my Bankroll for opening day at Belmont Park.
Very excited. Staying with family in Valley Stream NY. Not a far ride from Belmont.

Unfortunately, I can't get past Golden Tempo. Bet against him last time and he won from last into slow fractions on a track that was favoring speed that day. That was all the convincing I need.

hey Dougie

I hope you have tickets already

they are having a "soft" opening--capping the attendance at 6000

tickets are $50 for grandstand

there will be many new yorkers anxious to say "they were there"

yes I saw the facts you posted-pretty interesting

I have attended only one Travers--Stay Thirsty won and I didn't like him that day

as for this years Travers--i haven't decided yet. I liked Renegade but feel Irad gets the most out of him, and he wont be riding.

Golden Tempo ran over everyone's money in The Belmont-he could do it again

Baby Vino is interesting

I was on Renegade from the Derby all the way up until now
Totally agree about Irad tmbz1
It might be just using common sense and do exactly what LUCPARK said.
Golden Tempo until they beat him

As a rule I don't like dead closers from outside posts, some people say it doesn't matter but I prefer a closer to have an inside post so he can save ground and avoid getting caught wide.

No particular horse in mind but don't expect Golden Tempo to win, think he's being too highly touted now and the group is pretty well matched.

After the breakdown of past trends I posted on page 1 of this thread I am leaning Sea Strike. Will probably be 3rd choice on the odds board

As a rule I don't like confirmed closers because they tend to be over bet and are at the mercy of the pace and are normally closing on the slowest part of the race when the front end falls apart.

still fatigued from yesterdays marathon

here is some early SPA chalk to get the day rolling

race 2--#6 Sculcos Folly--has significant class edge

race 3--#2 Lightning Strike--has the speed to wire these

good luck to everyone on another long day tmbz1
