understood...where the purse $ comes from...We know this.that is not the question....read the thread...HOW LONG will the casino interests keep forkingover their hard earned slot $$$ profits for the Buggy raceswhere they see No attendance and minimal onlinewagering. The huge corporations like MGM didnt get where theyare by charity....The only interest they have is Casino....Do u think they will open Harness tracks stand alone? They are a total loser...and then some.I am sure their Attorneys are working 24/7figuring out longterm angles of dropping the harnesstracks from their Menu. Not if....but when.interest in most cases.
do you not understand that purses are funded by a small percentage of slot machine revenue for all six Pennsylvania tracks?or do you just like starting nonsensical threads from yesteryear that have been rehashed a million times already?
oh geezit is the state of Pennsylvania that has legislature written for the purses funded by slots revenue-the casino companies have no say what is allocated for pursesstop pointing the finger at the casino companies like they are involved and properly address your concerns with a more appropriate title like "How long will the state of Pennsylvania .....blah blah blah"its called decoupling and there are about 10,000 threads on that alreadygot it?
It should be put to a referendum for the voters to decide.
I don't know if you're aware of this or not but the legislators in PA are so clueless when it comes to horse racing. Around 8 years ago they passed a bill and started charging the ADW's a 10% fee for taking bets from PA residents forcing the smaller ones to close the accounts of PA residents. The larger ADW's made some kind of deal and weren't affected. Here's the best part, their reasoning for doing it was to increase on track attendance and handle which had no chance of happening.
