Yesterday at Monmouth, the 3rd race winner paid $37.20 & the 4th race winner paid $9.60. The DD came back $25.60. Same trainer and jockey combo, investigation underway.

The other multi-leg aka vertical wagers payoffs connected to race 3 & 4 all seem reasonable, healthy and normal considering fav or next choices won....must of forgot the hit the all button to have the vision to send the investigation elsewhere and their pockets illuminated with even more green.

Also, to make matters worse, from what I heard, this trainer sold two horses privately-----and I could be off a bit on the details-----both won at Saratoga (maybe the same day, not sure). I didn't verify any of this.

yes-the two sold were to-the new owner/trainer Ernesto Ochoa-winners paid $18.40 and $28 at Saratoga yesterday

his brother Gerald is a pow percentage trainer at Tampa

they can hide their win bets at Saratoga with the huge handle-but they got greedy with the meager $9700 daily double at Monmouth which they obviously pounded enough to launch an investigation

HISA not allowed in West Va but they did warn the Mountaineer officials about the investigation

Trig, G.C thanks for posting the articles. I remembered that Ricardo Santana rode the ones at the Spa. Soon as I started reading the thread I knew exactly the horse at the Spa that paid $28 to win..it was #8 but cannot remember which race. I had left that horse out of my pick 5 sequence..and spread in that race.. I thought that horse had no chance. It will be interesting to see the findings from the investigation.

The most unusual backstory among the group of five horses belonged to M Bs Melanie Cares, who had made only one previous start. The filly finished fifth in a $50,000 maiden claiming race at Gulfstream Jan. 4 and was claimed by trainer Jose D’Angelo on behalf of TCC Stables, co-owned by prominent horse owner Michael Iavarone.


Iavarone told Paulick Report the filly came out of the race sore and appeared likely to require surgery. She was subsequently sold for $32,500 through the Inglis Digital February sale to Kevin Cruz.

After returning to the work tab at Gulfstream in March, M Bs Melanie Cares shifted to Fair Hill, where she recorded three workouts beginning July 22. She returned Sunday for Ochoa in an $85,000 maiden claiming race at Saratoga.

Two more horses with ties to the group were entered Monday. Quiroz is listed as owner and trainer of Threedots Andadash in the eighth race at Presque Isle Downs, with Lugo originally named to ride, though a jockey change was announced putting Jorge Ruiz aboard (scratched after being placed on HISA vet’s list – see below). Bravo Rough was entered in Mountaineer’s second race for trainer Alexis Cordero-Lopez and owner Yimari Coronel, with Lugo aboard (scratched before the race by stewards). Both were also coming off layoffs with recent works at Fair Hill.

Lugo, the jockey named on the two Monmouth runners and both of Monday’s entrants, had only ridden eight mounts in 2026 prior to Sunday. Lugo was suspended 30 days by Gulfstream Park stewards in 2021 for failing to persevere aboard Princess Tereska in a race that also attracted scrutiny for unusual wagering patterns. Princess Tereska and the race winner were both owned by Long Trail Stables LLC, an entity associated with Felice Iadisernia, brother of former trainer Giuseppe Iadisernia.


Phipps told Paulick Report that Fair Hill’s board looked into Quiroz, as well as several of the owners listed on his stall application, including Giuseppe Iadisernia. Quiroz said he sold the two Saratoga winners to Ochoa, and they have not returned to Fair Hill.

Phipps also told the Paulick Report the board will discuss the situation further during a regular meeting on Tuesday and has the power to evict the trainer.

Observers present at Saratoga on Sunday told Paulick Report that Giuseppe Iadisernia’s son was in the Saratoga winner’s circle for at least one of the wins.

In the after race interview with Santana he looked scared shitless. He made a point to say he doesnt know the connections, only that he was named on the horse and rode.

on the surface-this seems rather obvious

these runners were all juiced up on EPO at Fair Hill and were all coming off a lengthy layoff from Florida-all four had obscure and fishy Florida connections-and all seven were meant to win

it is not a coincidence five of them ran on the same day-the 6th ond 7th ones entered on Monday--all in close proximity to each other so that any investigation wouldn't be launched in time to prevent them from scoring at the mutuel windows

the Saratoga pools are huge-so the win bets wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb

the daily double coming back at $25 with a $37 winner in the first leg at Monmouth absolutely shows they were greedy and didn't realize they would crush the numper like they did

since all electronic wagers can be traced-i would venture these wagers were made on track with cash as to not be  leaving a evidence trail

the horse in race 3 at Saratoga ... probably would have won if not for the bad start

since they won race 4--i would be curious to see what the daily double will pays were for races 3 and 4 using both of the Fair Hill horses

I was shocked that the #8 at Saratoga won that race watching it live.14-1 seemed low odds at the time. That horse ran like he had a rocket up his ass.

Bello I didn't see the post race interview with Santana..but he will deny everything whether he knew or not..to cover his ass.

Once this gets all uncovered it should be a lifetime ban for all parties involved
