THE STABLE RETURN ON INVESTMENT
« on: July 22, 2026, 08:46:12 PM »
Anyone own shares in the stable?  Seems like several good horses like Jailbird Jog and wondering if checks returned to investors as received or monthly or end of year.  Seems like excessive cost in travel for many.   Training platform different and would expect fees to trainer's plus McDonald.   Lots of flights.    Travel.   Expenses such as hotes and meals ?  Interested in platform.

I have to think Dr. Letessa makes out alright as he mentioned in just about every video and horse. It is what you think it is, Anthony being a showman, aka frontman, to hundreds of fishes scattered across NA and abroad. If people are dumb enough or don't simply care and want to torch their hard-earned money so be it. And you do have to give credit to him as he's stumbled across a few nice horses. I know more than a few horsemen that buy just as many as him and have nothing to show for it.

Great to see you posting COUNSELOR.  I hope you've been well.

This should answer some of the questions:

https://thestable.ca/own-a-little/

This forum Lonnie set up is the biggest sounding board for TheStable:

https://talkinghorseracing.com/

Sub Forum:

https://talkinghorseracing.com/forum/forum/ownership-2/

I found in that forum as much as they want to enjoy their experience and access, they do sound off on the bs.

Plop is more of an ego trip.

A handful accept blame and failure, the rest brag their success and or defend AMac or stay silent.

You want to do this deal and build it into the goal of a Burke type operation with nice start up Investor(s) and Consultant(s) and Insider(s) or let a 13% winning driver schmuck run an 8 figure company like a mentally ill scam artist and drive your investment like a clown?

It's only worth the investment as to analyze and reverse engineer what that @sshole has done so far.

COUNSELOR, when my two partners and I had four "cheapies" at Pompano Park, we lost money on that venture. We made a lot of friends and had a fun time, but got "chewed up" by the constant VET bills. The trainer gave us a break on the monthlys and the farrier was great but VET bills were hard on us. The big mistake was something we learned the hard way. One $20,000 claimer is better that four $5000 claimers. LOL! Very stupid on my part. As for partnerships, the only Harness Racing group I always hear about is VIP Staples Partnership. Most of the folks in this group advise against them. I have a friend who was in a throughbred partnership with My racehorse.com. He had a minute share. Less than 1/10 of 1%. The cost was really cheap. Bills weren't much. As were any checks he received from them. The thing he did enjoy was going as a guest to watch the horses run. He would enjoy meeting with other investors, his trainer, the jockey, and the grooms. So if you do join a syndicate or limited partnership, please do your homework. And best of luck!

My concern truly is that this organization could be construed as a security by the SEC  There are many instances that it is but they could argue unlimited liability.   Selling shares on a website could be a real problem.   Fees and complete control is another issue.   The paperwork must somehow get around the security issue.  The SEC and state SEC could investigate this.  As you know innocent until investigated.

If you plan on starting your own limited partnership LLC or a syndicate for multiple investors, a top lawyer will be needed to make sure all the I's are dotted and the T's crossed. I'm not smart enough to even visualize starting a business like that. But if you do, Good Luck!

The stable ownership clearly states that investing in one of their horses is for ENTERTAINMENT purposes. Like playing golf is an expense or buying a boat. They don't hide this fact either.

I am considering putting together a small ownership stable of a few horses for starters that will treat you fairly.  The trainer I have in mind and know well is Ronnie Gillespie in Ohio.  I have not even broached this topic to him yet.  Must own at least 10 percent and pay their bills.  PM me if interested.
