There was some NY OTB's that operated out of nice restaurants from NYC the city to Rockland County (Mt. Fuji). At those you received track prices.
Where as the rest were complete and utter shit holes.
Placing your bets through 6 inches of bullet proof glass until self service.
The stench of cigarettes and booze could make a smoking drinking alcoholic barf. Some OTB's only had sound and no video.
You placed your bets and went home you called a results line.
The tellers were ok, I dated a couple of them.
How the F do you F up - gambling. The entire experience outside the restaurants which came later on was to treat gamblers like low life scumbags. Filthy, disgusting places generally with no toilets, thankfully
