A new 2026 Stallion at Winbak has breeders eyebrows raised
« on: July 13, 2026, 08:22:50 AM »
One of the very few standardbreds to actually contest all

(4) Grade 1 races at ages 2 and 3 and make the Finals

was the Herb Holland trained Captains Quarters..

The Metro Champion narrowly missed in the Pepsi

North America Cup and split heats in The Jug.

The consensus is he is from the hottest family in

the sport....and we researched that fact and here

is what we found on Google AI:

Dam is multiple Stakes-Winner, Prescient Beauty, p, 2, 1:50.4 ($495,860)

1/2-sister to O'Brien & Dan Patch Award Winner, Sportswriter, p, 3, 1:48.3 ($1,649,411)

Full-sister to O'Brien & Dan Patch Award Winner, Precocious Beauty, p, 1:50.1 ($869,920)

Dam of Tall Dark Stranger, p, 3, 1:47.1 ($2,365,549)
Horse of the Year

Family of Downbytheseaside, p, 3, 1:48.3f ($2,283,068), Swingtown, p, 3, 1:49.2f -'25 ($1,368,436), & Whichwaytothebeac h, p, 1:48.4s -'24 ($1,053,737)

Dang.

Actually, very few horses of the modern era successfully

navigated the gauntlet of these (4) Grade 1 events.

The chances of actually participating , let alone securing

a spot in the Finals of these events stands at

Millions to one.

I see this Stallion is standing at Winbak in Canada...

while Nijinsky is in New York and Legendary Hanover

in New Jersey.

Captain Albano was spectacular racing and was looking to
his stallion career but they say he failed  the fertility
test....and as we see still racing..and racing well.

He was the Top 2 year old in the United States.

I see that Captains Quarters beat him in both the

North America Cup Elim and Final.

I have had a few tell me that the trainer Herb Holland
is extremely conservative in the Pre Race Department.

Please listen...NO ONE GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT CAPTAINS QUARTERS or the .01% commission that I hope you're getting since you won't shut the fuck up about this horse.   tmbz1

Are you Rich Stiles, the horse’s owner, or from Winbak?
Like I said before, I know Herb for 35 years, so what’s your deal with CQ?
You make it sound like you don’t know Herb, but I think you do.

I ignore nonsense on her most of the time.  But this idiot is neither creative or funny.  He just keeps babbling about the same things over and over.  it's clear with the amount of responses he draws related to the actual topic.  He is a fairly new poster and came on with an agenda.

Where are the most opportunities to be successful today?

Smaller state and racing operations or bigger states with more foals and competition?

Ohio has 1/2 and 5/8 mile racing with 1/2 mile track fair racing.

Pennsylvania has 5/8 mile racing only for big money with  1/2 mile fair racing.

Kentucky has 5/8 and 1 mile racing.  Does Kentucky have fair racing?

New York only has a few big races for better horses on big tracks.  The majority of the races are over 1/2 mile tracks.

Massachusetts and New Jersey one track only!

Ontario has many big races over Mohawk but also races over 5/8 and 1/2 mile tracks.
