From what I see beyond a few KY Sire Stakes Races
and maybe The Tattersalls and some Big Trot Races
the racing is below average...
Very small pools...Monticell o gets way more..
No serious wagering at The Red Mile for decades.
They get some attendance during sale week other than that
not much..
The other Kentucky tracks are offering high purses
higher than the Wagering pools for most of the races..
how long will the powers that be keep taking the losses.?
A bunch of hillbillies beyong the top 10 drivers.
what losses?
Kentucky has huge purses due to HHR(historical horse racing)machines--similar to a slot machine
they have legislated a large amount of money to ALL of the tracks for purses--Churchill/Keeneland/Ellis/Turfway/Ky Downs/Thunder Ridge/Oak Grove-and Lexington
Red Mile overnights are not a part of the windfall
can we please stop staring at the handles and correlate them with profits?
handle means nothing-but so many people erroneously think they do
