Suspension handed down

    CONDUCT DETRIMENTAL TO THE BEST INTEREST OF HORSE RACING

Per DHRC rule 5.1.27.2 Pat Berry is issued a $3000.00 fine, a 6 month driving suspension that includes driving in qualifiers and no access to the paddock. 3 months of the suspension are held in abeyance pending Pat Berrys completion of an approved anger management course. After the 3 month suspension Pat Berry will be on probation for 6 months. This penalty is issued for the actions of Pat Berry during the stretch drive of the 7thn race on June 17, 2026, when Pat Berry struck another driver with the whip. Full DHRC order of suspension is available through the DHRC. Pat Berry will be eligible to drive on Sept 20, 2026

She's using whoever is available. Most of their horses ran the entire meet at Dover and did well and a lot of them are getting a freshening right now, plus Harrington's eet closes in 2 weeks and then there's a 5 week break before they reopen, so the timing is actually good for Pat's suspension .

Berry #2 @ 6-1 odds. DEFINITELY GOT POLISENO WITH THE LATE WHIP...But i'll ask as you watch replay, Berry gumming up the early #6 and #4 'give and go', hanging them BOTH out. Is it possible Berry just didnt like the early 'script' that was cooked up? Because how else can u explain Poliseno #6 hung almost every step at 7-2 actually hung on to win. Thats a fade out of top spot 99 times out of 100.

Who knows why Berry did what he did, but the suspension is a stiff one, and on his record, and if it happens again, he could be gone for a long time
