« on: May 19, 2026, 09:23:38 PM »
Please check the following:

Current owner

Recent breeder

Past owner

Never an owner

Please say where you currently/have raced in the past.

I'll start.

Current owner.  Currently racing Saratoga harness.  A mare on the Sunday card,  A 3 year old NYSS potential stakes horse and a 2 year old in final preparations for 2026.

Past tracks-A few starts at Tioga, Vernon, too many at Saratoga, a few starts at Monticello, a handful of starts at Yonkers and the Meadowlands, Plainridge, and where I started--Pompano Park RIP

Only bred 1 horse about 15 years ago!  My first horse--a mare by Big Towner!

Owned a bunch between 1977 and 2007.  Got out when the handwriting on the wall got too big to ignore in regard to the future of Illinois racing (fuck those crooked politicians and greedy track owners).

Raced mostly in Chicago.  Had a few who were good enough to travel.  One raced in The Battle of Lake Erie at Nfld.  Another won multiple stakes in Chicago and raced in the Metro Final and N A Cup Elim in Canada.  Best one was a mare who won at Lex, M1, Freehold, Yonkers and beat Shady Daisy at Nfld.

Had a lot of fun and made a few bucks.  Learned a lot about human nature.  When I had mostly claimers, everyone thought I was a nice guy.  When I got lucky with a few good ones, people either sucked up to me or ignored me.  When I got out of the business things went back to "normal."

Owned 1988 to roughly 2012. Mostly Monti, some Pocono, some Tioga, a lot at Stga, a few starts at Mlands and Yonkers, one start at Plainridge and a few at Dover, and, best of all, principal owner in ‘92-93 of a Seahawk Hanover filly who competed at all the NYSS tracks, and was, I would say, second best of the group she raced against. Set track record at Syracuse Mile, earned 167k in two years.

Mikeee with zero wins I might add.

It shows how much you know Joe is on top of his game and he's been around for years.

I very well might have 128 bowling balls in my house right now and I do shine them after I use them!

People on plop might want to know who people are here so they can perhaps understand better. Both in racing and real life!

I don’t see many other people posting threads that as more interesting.

I'm not going over Rocky's house to play this week  ngc3

He wants to throw his toys at us  ngc3

Maybe next week  tmbz1

With that said....never any of the above, but if I was, I'd be all.

I would have the mare and the sire, breed the yearling, be the trainer and driver.  Not become a vet but take enough training I'd understand equine anatomy.

If the horse was fit and more than capable of beating the competition they'd be raced.

Otherwise, like Rocky said a while back...they'd be like family pets.  Likely staying with me too.

Without 100% control, I would not get involved.

At my age, what are the chances of accomplishing all that...near zilch!  ;D

Recent Breeder.  I’ve tried a few different stallions, in State, out of state, even tried a French and Swedish stallion.
I once inquired about a stallions services and they told me they could just ship the Seman…..what’s the world coming to.
