The only way you can make a profit in this business is to have one go to stud. Racing horses will put you in the negative balance cat. SBSW when at stud was making the owners 12.2 Million $ a year every year. Expenses are negligible compared to racing staking...Any other endeavor is not financially beneficial. It's a great hobby however.
