This is the type of machine that I have been campaigning WEG to purchase for years. It would solve a lot of problems
Come with me to the "Darkside",its a matter of life or death!!

They should per test the drivers, T. Cummings laid down Doud Dew again in the 7th. I can’t believe that we actually had him here at The Meadows at on time.

Not the first time
POSITIVE TEST- PRE RACE
Jeffrey Sorenson, as trainer of record for the horse MISTER MIAMI in the 3rd race on
7/19/2025 at Vernon Downs, is issued a 60 day full suspension of his occupational license,
beginning 8/20/2025 through 10/18/2025, plus a $1,000 fine. The pre-race blood sample
collected from MISTER MIAMI on 7/19/2025 was found to have a TCO2 concentration of
39.8 +/- 0.7 millimoles per liter. The sample was marked as not receiving Furosemide. This
is excess of levels established by the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC). In
addition, 3rd place earnings of $900 by MISTER MIAMI must be returned and redistributed.
MISTER MIAMI shall submit to a 6 hour pre-race detention for a period of 6 months,
8/20/22025 through 2/19/2026, without regard as to whether the horse is transferred to a
new owner or trainer. The horse must also test in compliance with the above stated rules
each time raced during the required pre-race detention period and shall be ineligible to race

this item refers to failing a pre race test. the earlier post was about failing a post race test.

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
