Going with 10 win # 3 Boyd & # 11 Englishman, 30 win # 24 Napoleon Solo.  Box ex eachother.  24 on top of those too.

I share the enthusiasm over Napoleon Solo; he looked much the best in the Champagne and is certainly an early favorite in my mind. I love the pedigree on both sides; my only concern is that sons and grandsons in the Scat Daddy line sometimes have better 2 yo campaigns and fade a bit in the third year, Caravaggio being the standard example here. Some other examples are grandson Boppy O, who came out strong but faded under tougher comp, and Pappacap the brother who never really lived up to potential after a good start. But, we all know this is a strong line that produces well on dirt and the horse looked great last week. Hard to find much at this stage to be super excited about, but I really do like Napoleon Solo from what I have seen thus far. Nice bet, the box all is a stronger take than I would probably be willing to concede right now because I think the field for the 26 Derby might be narrow and you could end up with too short a price on the winning box.

Worries me not as much as a workout since, but didn't stop me, horse is 17-1 now.

#2 Baeza at 122 lbs as a 3yo, looking good and back home in the west.

#7 Sierra Leone won this as a 3yo weight allowance, 4lbs more but think he's going to love this again.

#8 Mindframe = Gorilla Horse, will sweep by Fierceness when he folds

I see these horses in the super.  I think I'm hitting that and not for a fucking dime at least 2 bux!

Wishing Sovereignty well, but this became a much more interesting race to bet with him out. Cases can be made for almost every horse in this field.

I've been a big fan of Baeza most of the year but I've come to believe that the fast races don't favor him and the slow races favor too many in this field for him to rise above. If I saw some progress in the works or in the results over the year, it would have swayed me. But, over the course of this year Baeza has only been able to win when no one else in this field is in the paddock, and the works are scattershot. I also like him on the west coast; but his success has been at SA and not DMR; subtle difference but notable.

I know this is the shiny pick this week, but I like Forever Young at the wire over SL. I think last year the pace was set by others and he was tempted to run along with them. Contrary Thinking was ineffective as the rabbit in the Jockey Club earlier this year, however, and Johnny V found a patience formula with Fierceness in the Pacific Classic that I would expect to see again. The other speed horses have all shown decline over the summer. I think FY can stay at a pace that is more manageable than last year's BC, and similar to Antiquarian in the Jockey Club and maintain enough to hold off Sierra Leone for the win.

I'll peek at live odds to make sure it makes sense, but I'm big on boxing the 5 and the 7 in this race and would be strongly motivated to box a super 2,5,7,8. Hopefully Irad can hold on this time

That's how you turn chalk on top into monster exotics, however using all with favs not a keen idea.  Tough horse to have as a contender, my key there were the 2,3,14 yet 8 was a like with another five horses, but the 6, that one didn't make it on my paper and he finished 3rd in the hi5.

Anyway, last Friday bad BC day, today the same, Last Saturday was very good, tomorrow needs to be too.

All 12 races capped, but I'm not early wagering.  1st race has 4 ae's still, yet early scratches are out.  Earlier start though, 1:05 PM EST.

I'll go about the same tomorrow in $ commitment, @ $750 but pounding race 9, the Classic for at least a third of that!
