Uplifting Plop
« on: September 10, 2025, 09:55:53 AM »
This constant bashing and berating  of fellow plopsters  just keeps getting worse and worse.  Why can’t we all make a conscious effort to uplift our standards ?  I think a good start would be to clean up the language. Is it really that hard to extend the olive branch ?

You should have been here during the "GSAC"days, it was like a bar fight in here.

It might change for the better if everyone had their true identity shown, like Mike P, instead of being identified by anonymous handles.

The word and meaning of GOAT as we all know is synonymous with being the most successful ever.

He threw in the towel today.

I give him the under on 48 hours he'll be back at it with me.

I agree....I am extended my branch for anyone that wants to reach out and shake it, and I'll do the same for you.

I am all for it. I don't think some people have the capacity though. Too many angry, bitter, bully-types, and so on.

Heaven forbid people actually discuss harness racing, wagering, etc. That's all I am doing these days.

I want to shake your branch until the syrup comes out.

Then make pancakes and snuggle by the fire while I down em'.

And then watch and gamble on the races.

Top that day!   tmbz1

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
