SPA Day XXXVIII, Saturday, 8/30/25 - Del Mar Pacific Classic Card*

Weather looks great at all tracks mentioned herein today, Fast and Firm.

The Spa has 13 races including 3 stakes, start time 1205pm, weather around 70, and little breeze.

Del Mar's 11 race card starts at 430pm est has 5 stakes headlining is the Pacific Classic with Journalism 9/5 ml and something called Nysos a Baffert almost undefeated horse who races sporadically and at 8/5 ml who actually never raced longer than 1 1/16 mile.  Ok lol!  Journalism is getting a 6 lb weight allowance against his 7 other older foes.

Kentucky Downs has 12 race card starting at 1225pm est with 5 stakes races with purses from $1mil - $3.5mil.

Monmouth and Woodbine have 3 stakes combined too.

Harness racing's big card is at Mohawk Sucker Track ya know MST, headlining with Maple Leaf Trot and Canadian Pacing Derby.  Stakes races at lots of other tracks including and not limited to  - Hanover, Hiawartha, The Meadows, Scioto and Pononos - Day and Night racing.

My budget will be $700 today and I'll be looking through 46 races to see what's up and where the dough goes.  Good Luck Everyone!

I'll be a bottom dweller today at Timonium and meadows has some PA steak races for my chalk fix.

KY downs later races are amazing.

Good luck today boys!! Lots of jockeys switching tracks so I am expecting some big prices. The big boys left the SPA and are at Kentucky. A few Gulfstream regulars and Jaime Rodriguez are there. A very difficult sequence at the SPA to start out. Gulfstream is no picnic either. Kentucky Downs is always a very difficult track to handicap. The purses there today are HUGE! No stiffing going on in those races.

I've just put all the scratches under the wrong track in my notebook.

Funny thing about that race at the SPA. The winners name was Imagine John. The Beatles was my Pop's favorite band and Lennon was his favorite member
