Watched Northfield live Sunday evening and didn't notice anything off in the 14th. Just watched the replay and can't figure out what you're referring to,  please enlighten me.

Unless you can point to something specific, #2 broke awkwardly trying to make the turn coming to the gate.  The #3 Cornstar got locked in the entire race, no reasonable chance to get out, had horse in the stretch but still locked in and was the co-favorite.
