With the deadline for New York to award the three downstate casino licenses by the end of 2025 looming and a push to get casino gaming at The Meadowlands manifesting, we now have an excellent chance of having a temporary casino as early as 2027 and a permanent one in place by 2028.

losing what money? The state pays the horse purses and he shares in Fan duels profits.  If he's losing money he the worst business man ever.  He just wants the casino to make more money.  He needs support from the new Governor, whomever that will be.  It will probably pass this time.

Well, somebody new will be in Drumthwacket..... and Steve Sweeney is long gone after 20 years and after finishing dead last to Mikie Sherrill. That's far from a casino outside AC, but as I had previously said, I think there will be a casino at the Meadowlands, and in the next 15 years or so. Maybe 10. However, based upon the current landscape, I will update that. I think you will see a referendum on this, if not in 2026, then in 2027.....and there is greater than a 50% chance the referendum will contain language of something along the lines of.....a casino, outside AC, at a racetrack, and will specify the Meadowlands and/or Monmouth. I guess we will soon see.
