In the winner's circle (Warrawee Michelle) there was a fine looking young swede chick, statuesque, like a model, tall, thin, beautiful face, and as you went down she had an ass flat as a pancake.

That thing one day is going to sag too. :-[

My point is, maybe Ake should inject some of that EPO in her ass, does it have qualities that improve that issue.  ngc3

I know a little about this.

Synthetic EPO is the man-made version of the naturally occurring hormone erythropoietin.

The medical purpose for Synthetic EPO is to treat anemia a medical condition where the body does not naturally produce enough organic, natural EPO.

Natural EPO is a hormone produced by the kidneys. It stimulates the production of red blood cells.

Red Blood cells carry oxygen through the body.

More red blood cells = more oxygen to muscles = enhanced stamina

Synthetic EPO given to race horses serves no legitimate medical purpose. It is performance enhancing because it artificially increases stamina.

Side effects include, most notably,  blood clots and other cardiovascular issues.

Can’t even race at Scioto without it or something similar - Ronnie Gillespie fronts them in 54 with an In Range 2 year old off 1 qualifier - GTFO with that.  That’s a mile in 52 at The Meadowlands.

Every time a new whatever, drug, epo...

It has to be classified to make it illegal.

Then the vets, lab have to create a type of testing.

What window of time it can be even detected.

It's a complex, very expensive process and time consuming to get it right.

Then you have to be concerned with false negatives / false positives from other possible legal substances.

Eventually, a very good machine is created to test, and detect, but it involves a lot of parties and a lot of science.

Then back in stop underground lab, they're working on some new shit...

Above, is a over simplification, but yeh in layman terms.

When there is testing, LUCPARK, was correct, points to one thing, not ignorance, nor knowing their priorities, but just evil and corruption from the other side of the needle, the regulatory, track owners.

Mike Petrelli tried to dumb it down for EVERYONE and wrapped the whole corruption under one umbrella - animal abuse - he showed how one thing i.e. lame horse, far away from drugs is a lead to another and leads there to the heavy duty drug and illegal behavior almost every time.

Get the guy a few $mil and in a year harness racing would be transformed into something sustainable, virtually invulnerable, otherwise, easier, he kills it and within another year or so, it's dead!

Mike Petrelli might just get if he wants it - his "shoot first clearance" and "license to kill" Harness Racing in NA.

The half life is short, need out of competition testing.

Recombinant Human Erythropoietin (rHuEPO), such as epoetin alfa (e.g., Epogen, Procrit):
   •  Intravenous (IV): The half-life is approximately 4–13 hours in adults with normal kidney function. A study on postoperative orthopedic patients noted a half-life of around 4–6 hours after IV administration.
   •  Subcutaneous (SC): The half-life is longer, typically 24–36 hours, due to slower absorption.
•  Darbepoetin alfa (a longer-acting EPO analog, e.g., Aranesp):
   •  IV: About 25–33 hours.
   •  SC: Can extend to 48–72 hours.
